This order was placed on the 14 or 13th of December and I was told the order would arrive tomorrow the 20th. Now as of this morning, I see this has all fallen apart and one of the items won't even arrive until after Christmas. I have heard a lot of promises 2 day delivery guarantied. -- what is your guarantied policy when this is not meant? This is not very user friendly -- are you going to back up your guarantee? This gift is for a child at Christmas, how do you explain Santa's sleigh got hung up at the post office? I as now just typing to fulfil, your 100 word requirement.

Hassle with Amazon over TV Replacement

On September 19, 2016 I ordered a Samsung UN65KS8500 Curved 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2016 Model) from Amazon.com [Order# xxx-xxxxxxx-xxx5007]. The web page from which I placed the order says “Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.” It was only when I started tracking the shipment that I noticed the disclaimer “Sold by Electronic Express”. Since I pay the premium for Amazon Prime, I was somewhat annoyed by the week-long shipping time. I was even more annoyed when they said it would arrive sometime between 9AM and 9PM; a 12-hour service window is something not even my cable company imposes. I was further annoyed when only one person showed up to deliver the TV, despite the promise in the shipment email that “A two-man team will deliver your TV into room of choice.” At my age I am no longer confident in my ability to handle heavy items. But I did. When I discovered that the TV was damaged, I was disappointed, but not angry. Those things happen. I refused the shipment, we put the TV back in the box, loaded it on the truck, and off it went. Then I logged in to Amazon to arrange a replacement, and that’s when I became enraged. After talking to four different agents, here is what I learned: 1. Since the TV was actually sold by Electronic Express, and not Amazon, they could not arrange an exchange. They could only issue a refund, that I could then apply to a reorder. 2. They could issue the refund only after Electronic Express notified them that the TV had been returned, a process that would take about two weeks. 3. They could do nothing about the change in price of the TV. It was going to cost me another $100, and that assumes that prices don’t go up again. 4. Then it will take still another week to deliver the replacement TV, for a total of 4 weeks since the original order. And all the agents could say was “Oh, I’m so sorry, but that’s our policy.” Well, my policy from now on is not to order anything expensive from Amazon. I’ve learned my lesson. I wish Amazon could do the same.

AMAZON OOPS

I placed an order on the 5th of June, was supposed to arrive 8th. By 13th, I called customer service. Got some *** who wouldn't verify my address because I said "number 3" instead of "apartment 3" and wouldn't help me. Not to mention, he spoke a barely intelligible English. Finally package arrived on the 14th. Right product: wrong size and color. BUT the packing slip was enclosed with the correct information. Again I called customer service, another non-English speakin representative. Amazon couldn't send replacement product. My guess is they didn't have the product in the first place and should have not even attempted to fill the order.

Amazon - Customer Service Review from Gleed, Washington

What people don't understand is that employees that work for Amazon have their hands tied as to what they can and can't do for customers. They make a minimal wage of $10 an hour and always have to work overtime. Every time a customer answers a survey with a NO it affects their job performance. It's not the employees fault that the policies are what they are. If an employee goes against the policy they are written up. Every no an employee gets drops their performance level and gets them closer to being fired. Even though it's the policy that the customers upset with not the employee. So when you customers answer no to the surveys you are getting that employee one step closer to being fired even though it's not their fault they can't help you. Employees that desperately need that income.

Based on this, I will always answer the survey with "no" regardless of policy. If they fire people, they will just have to hire and train more, which costs them more money. Thus Amazon will lose financially because of their consumer-unfriendly policies.

Amazon Fresh-You now have to spend $299 to use Amazon Fresh. I use it about four times a year. Who in their right mind would pay $300 a year to have groceries delivered four times? There is no way to opt out. Other grocery delivery places charge $10 per delivery unless you order over a certain amount. I spent 2 1/2 hours navigating their site only to find out at checkout that I had no choice but to cancel the order or sign up get my groceries and cancel. It took me another hour to reach someone as I originally thought due to their advertisement that this was some sort of add-on to Prime Now that allowed you to pick a set # of items you usually have to restock weekly and have it delivered. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was actually more of a delivery fee. I'm already a member of Prime and am growing more discontented with it as the 2 day free shipping is now more often than not ineligible for the items I purchase and the prime video changed their connection so now you have to scroll through all of their movies in no particular order to find something you actually want to watch. There used to be a lot of good shows and movies on it, they've removed a lot of them and you have to rent them now but the B movies and *** no one wants to watch is still on there. Amazon was doing so well for a while. They were anticipating our needs and growing in those areas. I don't know who is in charge of all the Prime stuff but they are seriously screwing it up and I'm about to cancel all of my membership here.

I placed a order with Amazon (Prime) for an item that was on sale and it said it should be here Tuesday 22nd. The date came and the order didn't ship.

Amazon now tells me I have to wait until next year to receive it as they were out. So now I had to pay $27 more to buy it from Newegg and get it on time and because the sale was over.

When I contacted Amazon about the Prime guarantee, I just got the runaround. Absolutely ridiculous, what is the point of paying for prime then?
