Dear Mr. Bezos,

I have great respect for your business acumen, but your comany's streaming service is a joke.

Amazon is one of the richest companies in history. Yet your streaming service constantly fails.

Two nights ago, our family was watching "The Royal Tenenbaums." We paid $1.99 for the movie. With about a half hour to go, the movie froze. We could not get it back.

We exited the service, then went back in. It took a few tries, but we got the movie back. But the movie was playing at a point that was about 45-60 minutes earlier than where we left off. We couldn't fast forward through the film either.

Every time we did that the screen froze. It was pretty annoying.

We paid $1.99 for this crap? I mean, seriously?

This was not our only problem with Amazon. Last night, we tried to watch "Funny Girl," which your service offered.

We clicked on the movie. What did we get? Something went wrong, your service told us. We tried again.

Same message.

Also, a few months ago, we streamed "Edward Scissorhands' for free, but we couldn't finish it. The next night, we went back to it, but Amazon said it would now cost $1.99 to finish the movie. Really? Are you that petty and greedy for money?

You build spaceships and fly in helicopters on a daily basis. We refused to pay and we didn't complete the movie.

This has happened many times with Amazon. Your service is unreliable. As a businessman, you know that predictability is the essence of a service business.

We can't rely on Amazon. My daughter and I are ready to completely shut you out and stop using the service, even with all the rich offerings the streaming service advertises.

We are close to switching over to Apple TV for streaming.

We are asking for a refund for the $1.99 for the flawed experience we had with "The Royal Tenenbaums" on Friday night.

And we are asking you, yet again, to work hard on improving your streaming service so it's reliable.

Otherwise, we're gone. We'll be happy to spread the word about your service's unpredictability and unreliability to our friends and neighbors and social media.

Best Regards,

Michael Gold
