Amazon - Unreasonable system and slow customer service
My friend bought me Amazon gift cards as my birthday gift in February this year. I redeemed gift cards to my account successfully; however, when I tried to use gift cards to shopping for Black Friday, the system locked my account and told me that my gift cards violated their term.
I reached out to several customer service, they always asked me my information to fill a form then waited for email or phone call. But I never got any call back and no one replied my emails.
I didn't get it, all the gift cards were bought from the grocery store and I redeemed it successfully, why I cannot use it.
Although I tried to provide evidence to prove my innocent, they seem to ignore me because they are on vacation. I cannot believe that no one could help me solve the problem and my account is still locked now.
User's recommendation: Never buy gift cards as gifts or your friends will hate you because the gift card cannot be used and make your friends lose their account.
Monetary Loss: $700.
Preferred solution: Account closed without any explanation .
Amazon Pros: Quick delivery on orders.
Amazon Cons: Customer services, Hard to connect to someone who can solve problem.
