I had six books delivered from Amazon which arrived in one box today, and one of them, a paperback, wasn't properly packaged in the box and arrived damaged. The front cover is bent as are the first four pages in the book, with some crumpled and one torn.

It was a narrow box but had room elsewhere for this one paperback so there was NO EXCUSE for such poor packaging, cramming the book into the box when there was obviously not room for that book next to the book it was crammed up against.

There was no bubble wrap which normally would be okay IF packaged properly. Who do they hire to do such a lousy job that they literally damage some of your books?

Amazon used to actually have a message board where complaints coud be filed, but they got rid of that board a while back and I can see why. They didn't like the negative comments, obviously.

I suggest that Amazon do a better job, or whomever does the training for them, at making sure their workers know how to package books and that items are properly boxed up before being shipped to consumers.

Shame on Amazon for allowing this to occur. I hope I enjoy reading my bent and torn paperback. If I had a cell phone I would take a picture of that book, but I don't own a cell phone.

Oh, months ago, shipped to me from Amazon were two different (in one box) ceramic coffee mugs with baseball team logos on them. One was fine on arrival, but the cup for ME was totally broken in several pieces and thus useless. Since I didn't have a phone to record its photo I never said a thing. I was out $11 for that coffee mug. I had to toss it in the trash.

Box improperly with the other mug, obviously.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $6.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
