Audible.com/Amazon

I too found out I was enrolled in Audible.com and had a free trial but would be charged after that. I had NO IDEA I was enrolled into something like this. If the print had been larger or if there had been a way of me seeing it, I would NEVER had signed up for it. Had it not been for two emails I got from Audible. com, I would never have known I was enrolled. The only thing I recognized was that a few weeks ago I bought a book on Amazon for my daughter. The title of that book was listed on this Audible.com email I got. That is the only thing that gives me a clue of where this membership came from. I did not buy a audio book either; I bought an actual hard copy of the book. So I have no idea why they thought I needed to have a free trial to Audible.com.

How my private information was obtained by one of Amazon's sellers?

4.0
Details
I had a missing item from a order, and I was scared to receive two calls from China (the seller also left a message). She emailed me, too. Emailing is one thing, but calling is the other for me. How did she obtained my private information? I contacted Amazon's customer service to ask what happened, but Amazon thanked me "for taking time to share [my] thoughts about this issue," and said that my "comments and suggestions" would help improve Amazon. How can Amazon call my questions "comments and suggestions"? I was upset. I asked questions, not provided "comments and suggestions." And, Amazon also said "customer account security is a priority for us and we ensure that the account details of our customer is secure," and "your personal information are safe and are never shared with anyone." I wonder if the customer service actually read my questions? How can Amazon say such things when my private information was used by one of its sellers? I wonder if I am the only one. Have any of you had this kind of experience?

Amazon review in Fort Worth, Texas: No Customer Service

1.4
Details
I signed up for Amazon Prime so we could have access to the videos in January 2016. I was billed a total of $107.00 in January but was billed again in March. I could not find a way to discuss this problem and seemed to be going in circles on their website. So I contacted Bang of American and they removed one of the charges. However, the next day I no longer have access to any of the videos. A message on Amazon says I no longer have an Amazon Prime account. Again I seem to go in circles trying to resolve this on their website and can not find another method of contact. They act like a Nigerian run scam company. Any advice anyone?

Amazon is the most deceptive company on the planet. They engage in fraudulent accounting hiding expenses off balance sheet.

Their prices are also the highest on the web. Search before you buy.

Most vendors offer free shipping so why pay for prime.

Use Netflix, Hulu which are far better than Prime. Hulu has a free version and even crackle is excellent

After speaking to two more Amazon representatives about my Amazon Prime. I was told they could see the problem.

However, Amazon did not have the procedures in place to correct the error. So I had then cancel the erroneous account, contacted my credit card company and had the billing reversed and opened a new account to pay for my Amazon Prime. The Amazon Prime is now working on my TV.

I'll have to follow up on the billing and see if it's screwed up again by Amazon. Thanks

Amazon refused to issue $404 refund

1.0
Details
I purchased a $404 vacuum cleaner from Amazon. This item was advertised as an Amazon Prime item (I was a member); however, the item wasn't shipped as a prime item (delivery took a week). I returned the item because it didn't work very good & had the tracking information that showed exactly when Amazon received it. They claimed they didn't receive it & refused to issue a refund. All of the customer service people that I talked to had very heavy Indian accents & were completely useless. I will NEVER use Amazon again.

If You have proof that Amazon received item back, contact Your credit card company and tell them the situation, and see if they can get your money back. If that doesn't work contact your lawyer, and sue them For your money, and attorney fees! Hope this helps.

Fed up with PAYING a premium price for 2-Day delivery on IN-STOCK items from Amazon, getting messages like "order in the next (XX hours and XX minutes) and receive your order in (two days), then having items NOT EVEN SHIP for days to weeks later, and even then, not...

I laugh when I see the "guaranteed" two day shipping at Amazon.com. Sometimes is does come in two days, or it comes a few days later.

Overall, tho they are pretty good but it's not wise to actually believe Amazon is being entirely truthful when it comes to shipping.

Many times they will ship something via UPS and it is delivered to my local post office where it will sit for a few days until the postman decides he should deliver it. Or, it never leaves the post office---it just "disappears." Amazon is not what they claim to be.

Amazon review in Killeen, Texas: 20% restocking fee that was never disclosed until I returned the rug

Beware of Amazon! I bought a large rug and then returned it at my expense. Seller took out 20% for restocking fees. I complained to Amazon that the restocking fee was not disclosed to me. Amazon basically told me they would not do anything about it. It was not under their guarantee The Amazon.com A-to-z Guarantee refund policy only covers: 1) When the buyer provided payment to the seller, but the seller failed to deliver the item. 2) When the buyer received the item, but the item was materially different than as depicted in the seller's description. In this case we have determined that you are not eligible for an A-to-z Guarantee claim as you did receive the item you ordered. My problem was with the 20% charge that was not disclosed to me when I bought the $214 rug. I am now out $45 for shipping the rug back and $42.98 for the restocking fee. Amazon offers no assistance in requiring the 3rd party shipper to refund the restocking fee. Deceptive trade practice is what I call this!

Terrible Fulfillment By amazon, always takes

2.5
Details
Fulfillment by Amazon is the problem, taking 4-5 days, is a bit like being back in the stagecoach days. Way too slow to my mind. Everything is computerized why is this taking so long to fulfill? I would say its from too many chiefs and not enough actual people to do the jobs of pulling orders. This happens every time i order something from amazon. At Ebay its shipped out the very next day. ORDER # 116-6006792-4493818, PLACED November 18, 2015. TOTAL $17.95. received Nov 27th at 4.30 pm. in Houston, tx.
