We had water damage due to missing information in installation instructions for a bidet sold by Amazon. Amazon blamed the manufacturer & refused to take any liability.

Customer service was difficult and rude. We had flooding on all 3 floors of home cause instructions do not inform customer to shut off main water valve in home. Pics do not include damage to walls, ceilings, drywall and personal belongings. Would expect Amazon to offer compensation for damages and be accountable for any products they advertise and sell.

Not just blame manufacturer and not even help customer at all or offer to help make up for errors. We are valued customers who use Amazon a LOT but if no rectification well shop elsewhere and advise friends & family to do same. We also plan to contact BBB.

We have proof of purchase if needed. Bidet was approx.

$250. Would like compensation but we managed to install bidet no thanks to Amazon and will keep product. We didnt go through this only to return and thats that.

But if we get no help from Amazon we will go to BBB and never shop with them again. We have given them thousands in purchases and expect to be treated better than nope nothing we can do.

User's recommendation: Make sure you get what you expect and don’t expect much from Amazon customer service.

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Amazon Pros: Great selection of products.

Amazon Cons: Bad customer service.

Wrong whoever made the last comment It’s all factual not a perception or based on feelings Learn your choice of words Fact versus not fact

It is amazing that it wasn’t common sense to you to turn off the water. I’m guessing you did not turn the water off and the damage was caused because you couldn’t find/didn’t turn off main supply once water started going everywhere.

To have three floors of water damage indicates water was flowing for a while and you did not turn off immediately. Turning water off should have only taken less than a minute.

Who asked you unless you work for Amazon. Pitiful comment by someone with no life and nothing better to do.

Amazon customer service is rated low by thousands for a reason. We followed instructions which said all you need to do is turn off water to bathroom valve. Not everyone is as smart plumbing wise as you. Good for you.

Go back to FB but learn English first. Fact and opinion are not the same. And if you’ve ever dealt with this issue you would know how quickly pipes leak.

Keep your uppity comments for anyone who cares. Not here.

What caused the leak/damage to three floors if you turned off water supply to bathroom valve ?

My regrets to everyone but last commenter. We all see arrogant ppl forcing their “opinion” on others when it is neither welcome nor warranted.

What happened is fact and was even backed by a certified plumber who saw the instructions sent with product. We aren’t all as talented in everything as last commentator. My review is simply to suggest caution when ordering and be leary in order to help others. I allowed an ignorant arrogant individual to get to me and that is on me.

Best to ignore ppl like that. Maybe they’ll go away and keep their superior attitudes to themselves.
