I requested an invite to purchase the Amazon Echo. I requested it before April 7th, the request deadline/cutoff Amazon set to still receive the $99 promotional price. I received my invite on April 21st but Amazon is charging $149. They are back-peddling, claiming that not only did the invite request have to made before April 7th, but the invite also had to be received by April 7th. This is NOT what they advertised before the April 7th deadline (see photo). They lied and it leaves a bad taste in this customer's mouth.

I purchased an item through Amazon with a warranty. The seller was removed from Amazon, and I was unable to file a warranty claim. I was told by two Amazon agents that Amazon would cover the warranty or replacement since the seller could not respond. I waited for the refund as promised..which never arrived. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I also provided a chat transcript of the agreed refund. I also requested Amazon to produce the audio recording of the second agent's promise, which they did not. Of course, no refund was issued, buyer beware. I will never purchase from Amazon again.

I agree that Amazon is the worst customer service ever. It took me 30 minutes just to find a way to contact them.

then I was shunted from department to department (I will transfer you...) After half an hour, I got the simple answer I needed. I'm paying for Amazon Prime?

Money was without consent debited (stolen) from my credit card for some or other prime membership which I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT OR APPLIED FOR I have reported it to my bank, and my request to Amazon Prime is to do an adjustment as to money owed to me as soon as possible !! please make contact with me soonest elizavdwest@mweb.co.za

In October of 2014, i noticed orders from Amazon.com not being fulfilled correctly. I was being charged for expedited shipping when not actually receiving expedited shipping. I have not received items in an order containing mulptiple orders. Sometimes the orders are fulfilled directly from Amazon.com and other times from 3rd party merchants listing on their website. With regard to the 3rd party merchants, Amazon.com takes a hands off approach to resolving issues where these parties list items or charge extra for shipping services they dont actually provide On an order that they are specifically charging you for. In the end, Amazon.com is an innefective mediary for arbitration in these issues and a great source of frustration for purchases. Hours, literally, of explaining the issue can be expected on phonecalls after being transferred from one representative to another. Frustration does not adequately describe the process as it is beyond frustration. With regard to purchases from Amazon.com directly, the level of incompetence in shipping the entire order as described becomes unbearable as you eventuaally have an issue so often you have to take cell phone video and pictures of your order and opening it because the high frequency places suspicion on the consumer versus the incompetence of their own employees in their shipping department. After 5 months, i was forced to close my Amazon.com account because of these issues. It was an account i had for years. A month after closing, on april 3, 2015, i reopened my Amazon.com account hoping for a better response. As of today, April 23, 2015, i have had 3 issues on 6 orders total. 3 issues in less than 3 weeks and 50% of my orders placed in that time. The process from filing their A-Z claim and guarantee is beyond arduous. The representatives are sarcastic and combative, at a bare minimum, dismissive of your position and complaint. They benefit from predatory, 3rd party merchants, and it is withthose same 3rd party merchants, NOT THE CONSUMER, that their priorities lie with these types of conflicts. Consequently, the consumer ultimately loses on refunds and returns as shipping fees are never reimbursed by 3rd parties through Amazon.com. Quite simply, they deny this but the bottom line speaks to the contrary. For example, a person can make a 20$ purchase and lose 5-15$ in shipping and return fees, if not more, for an item they ultimately never receive and one which results in weeks of emails and hours of phonecalls with Amazon.com customer service. It is a shame that Amazon.com has deteriorated to this state. Even worse is trying to find a comparable medium online that they dont own where the fear of their incompetence and mismanagement wouldnt loom over every purchase. Please consider my words with great caution. I was a crazed Amazon.com fan for years but am now deleting my 2nd account. There will not be a 3rd.

Amazon.com, not what it used to be

I have used amazon for years and liked the prices, dependability, fast delivery, now all that has changed (probably because they need the money to get the drones running to make their deliveries),to save money for delivery by ups or usps, almost everything on amazon is now sold as prime, the customer has to pay $99.00 to join amazon prime, like costco and sams, where you have to be a member to shop, oh well I did some price comparison of some common items and Walmart.com is much cheaper with their prices and no joining needed for a high fee and the shipping is free and the stuff arrives in a few days.

Absolutely right. I ordered my stuff from Walmart today instead of Amazon because whatever you buy, no limitations, over $50 at Walmart has free shipping.

today I went to go online and try to shop , however I couldn't because I was unable to log on. said password didn't match user name and I got an email at my gmail account which I receive my emails now . went through the process of changing my password by a link they sent me and when I tried to log on , said the password didn't match the user name email , tell me how is that possible when my account already exist for years . and I kept trying and to no avail , I still can't log on . this is my only complaint with amazon we have had a great relationship until now . I shopped a lot on amazon so does my roommate we love it , so tell me someone what's the problem ?? here ?? ................all I need is to change my password and go shopping is that to much to ask ??

I like Amazon Prime

I can get what I need in 2 days. Amazon Prime is one of the primary factors that allows me to live without a car (the other big one being living in a big city in a nice, walkable neighborhood that has good public transit). It's well worth the 90 to 100 dollars a year that I pay. I used to own a car and would hop in it and go buy things at a moment's notice. That was fun, but also led to spending more money on junk that just clogged up my place. With Prime, I do consider whether I really want/need something before I buy it and if I do, it only takes 2 days for it to reach me (almost all the time).

The B.B.B. DOES NOTHING, but review & grades them, which I think they have an F from another reviewer, have not looked ,but will!

I would imagine they would. Contact consumer affairs & take them to small claims court,it does NOT cost that much to pay a small fee for a small claims. But, do not let it keep dragging out,I would call 10 times a day & block my number & become a real pain. Somebody needs to take Amazon DOWN!
