High-tech Amazon??? Not so much. I asked three times of three separate CSR's if they could mail all orders USPS as I live in a secure building and work odd hours. USPS is only carrier with access to my building (UPS/FEDEX do not have access). Also, I am not at home to receive and sign for UPS/FEDEX packages. The answer, THREE TIMES, sorry, we cannot flag or note in your account to send USPS only. HAHAHAH!! Wow, really? Not so high tech after all.

Amazon review in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania: No Post Sale Protection or Support

I recently purchased Eheim filter which proved to be defective but I did not discover this until more than 30 days after the purchase. I found the problem when I opened the box which I discovered had already been opened and re-taped shut. After 30 days, Amazon will not acknowledge any issues related to the purchase and the vendor Fat Happy Pets of Nevada does not have any means for making phone contact. Emails to sales are ignored. I have been a major customer of Amazon. I would estimate more than five figures for purchases of products via Prime. I was extremely unhappy that I could contact Amazon to get help. They only allow for contact when it is to their benefit. Provisions making contact for situations where negative outcomes may occur for them do not exist. Needless to say canceled my Primer Membership and I will avoid using Amazon in the future. I find it hard to believe that a "Frequent Flyer" such as myself would get such shabby treatment. When you combine this with the fact that Amazon can be an expensive way to buy things, dumping the Prime membership is probably a less expensive outcome for me. My $261 loss will be offset by making more economic purchases from vendors that have post sale support.

My experience with Amazon.com

If I buy from one place for awhile, and they make one mistake out of numerous satisfactory transactions, I do not hold it against them. It can happen anywhere. Furthermore, when Amazon has made the tiniest mistake and I inquire about it, they have gone overboard to make up for it even though I haven't requested as much. Their offerings are generally the best but sometimes, negative reviews reflect a buyer's inattention to clearly-written descriptions of the item. Six weeks' delivery is excessive, as reported by one customer, but I can't -- don't -- believe there weren't extraordinary circumstances and that perhaps the seller was a Marketplace retailer. And in any event, I also suspect this buyer wasn't able to communicate the problem to Amazon. They (Amazon.com) appear to be willing to take a loss in the interest of customer satisfaction, the wisest marketing strategy, in the long run. Generally speaking, I'm not used to being treated as well as I've been by Amazon, and I've responded by buying more from them. So their approach has been to their benefit AND to mine! They truly have earned every word of praise I just gave them, and it is only my personal experience as a customer -- one that can be hard to please, I admit -- that spurred me to write this review. Should my dealings go downhill, I'll report that in no time flat.

I will not sell on Amazon again

I was selling a lens that I no longer need. 20 days after the sales was complete the buyer requested a refund, claiming the lens was defective. I asked the buyer how it was defective because I never had issues. Then the buyer filed an A-to-Z claim. After seeing the email, I authorized the return, and would issue the refund if the lens was returned intact. But the lens never came, and Amazon told me they issued the refund because I didn't respond to their email. I told them that I authorized the return, but they didn't care. So I closed my credit card and bank account before they could charge me. I will sell on good-old Ebay in the future but never again on Amazon.

You either:

1) Did not respond directly to the claim in your account

2) Did not respond to a follow-up email asking for additional information.

Amazon 3rd party seller bigfish1980 is based in China and sells several products on Amazon. I don't know the quality of all the items sold by bigfish1980, but the stainless door sill protectors I purchased for a 2015 Honda Accord Sedan do not stay on. The 3M tape...

Ordered through amazon and never received product

I never received this order and they refuse to refund or send a replacement. I am a long time Amazon customer and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. This outfit is a third-rate outfit with just lousy customer service. This is what happens to when you subcontract your customer service to India. They don't have a clue. Don't ever and I mean ever buy from these people. forget these people they are not very bright and they certainly could care less about the customer and making good on mistakes they made. I am contacting the BBB as well.

Amazon Prime Bait and Switch

My wife and I were enjoying Alphas TV series on Amazon Prime as part of our subscription...today Alphas mysteriously became a pay for view and is no longer available on Prime. I went back and looked at several other tv shows we have been watching and some of them have gone pay per view rather than free. Amazon has lured us in with some great shows then changed them to pay. I paid for Amazon Prime to watch these shows they should remain as part of Prime at least until I can finish the series. I will not be renewing my Prime member ship and after more than 10 years I will be going somewhere...anywhere else for my books and other purchases on line.

Bad amazon

At Christmas, amazon is working overtime. Things are smooth and early but never late or damaged. Every other time of the year, service to customers suffers. They seem to think no one else is noticing that they can claim to offer great service all year round when people think their experience so close to Christmas went well. Giving me my money back is not a great solution, when you have waited 6 weeks to receive an item that never came and was never going to arrive. Making someone whole is what keeps them from court but it's not what makes them come back for another try. Amazon is horrendous, I will never be the loyal customer I once was.

I'm guessing you live on a secluded island in the middle of nowhere? Because I order from here about 20 times a year, including Christmas and the off-season, and I've never had a single issue.
