I still can't believe people don't know the most basic things about credit cards with foreign addresses. The banking rules, credit rules, literally everything having do with laws on this stuff is 100% different in each country.

You cannot use foreign cards everywhere.

You can, however, ridiculously easily get a card from your bank that is an "anywhere" card that will work for all currencies. It's simple with a low fee and solves this problem.

How amazon ruined my kids christmas

i ordered some xmas presents for my kids with a guaranteed delivery date of dec 21. 21st came and nothing. called them said will be here 22nd. 22nd came and at 6pm est i called and they confirmed it went out for delivery on 21 and returned to the warehouse same day. on 22nd they cant find it. they knew this prior to my call on 22nd. had they told me it was lost i would have time to drive 100 km to the closest store that had the item in stock i would have it today. the other items i could have replaced with a shorter drive. now my kids will be missing a big part of their their xmas presents and i have to now go and fight traffic parking and lines. i am a prime member too. thanks amazon

Sounds like a problem with your payment method, eg., credit or debit card method. Perhaps there is a problem with this altho you are rather circumspect in why, exactly your account is "on hold." For what reason? There is a reason code for this and Amazon should have told you the reason for the hold.

Amazon review in Mississauga, Ontario: KINDLE UNLIMITED IS A ***

I paid $9.95 for kindle unlimited and then downloaded some e-books on May 18 which were supposed to be free with my kindle unlimited membership. Well, I got charged for all of them! I was charged $495.61! I called Amazon customer service on May 24 and asked them to refund me. The customer service rep apologised and said they would. I was only refunded $103.17 of the almost $500. Every time I have called back (5 times in the last month) I get the run around: we can't find your account, we cant find the charges you want refunded, we already refunded you etc. Never EVER buying from Amazon again!

Having said that there should be some fairness for the sellers as well. I agree Amazon is a terrible company. I've heard a lot of horror stories with employees were in there as well. The prime membership stuff for buyers I agree Amazon is a terrible company.

Amazon do not support their customers

I am seventy three years old, never have I been as disappointed as I have been with Amazon. I purchased two projector bulbs from Amazon, they were supplied by another company that work with Amazon. My bulb failed, I tried both bulbs I purchased from Amazon, they would not work with my SH 915 projector. I contacted BenQ they told me to try an OEM bulb. I ordered one from Amazon it worked fine. I then contacted Amazon they said it was up to their supplier of the first two bulbs to solve the problem. I was totally ignored by their supplier and did not receive any support from Amazon. They are a totally unreliable company. I will never again do business with Amazon, I can't afford to.

Non receipt of book sold on amazon for more then 3 weeks

I sold book thru Amazon. Money from buyer is with Amazon. Upon followup for my money i was instructed to update the bank detail. But bank detail failed to get validated at amazon. Now the trail for recovering money started. 1. Asked me to check my bank detail - I got connected to my bank two times make sure the detailed enter is correct. 2. So many efforts done to updated the bank detail as instructed by amazon team. FAILED 3. All the times i send message about bank detail updating i need to explain the same story again and again. 4. Keep getting same instruction to update bank detail, which keep failing. 5. Now they reply by automated message " we are reviewing your concern and will back to you as soon as possible. I have no idea what to do. I feel i am being tortured.

AMAZON does not protect it's customers

ASSET RECOVERY LIQUIDATORS, and AMAZON rip off consumers. WARNING, do not order from these guys at Amazon. They call themselves ASSET RECOVERY LIQUIDATORS on THE AMAZON WEBSITE. They send you the wrong product, then try to make you pay to ship it back to them. If you ship it without a tracking number, they keep your money and the product and pretend they never got the return. AMAZON even emails the seller if you don't use a tracking number, which allows them to scam people easier. On top of that, if ASSET RECOVERY LIQUIDATORS send you product that costs less than what you pay, they do not return the difference. AMAZON SEES NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS PRACTICE and DOES NOT protect the consumers buying from this corrupt business. With this post, I'm trying to protect future consumers from getting ripped off and remember to always use a tracking number or these guys will definately rip you off too, with AMAZONS help. Thank you.

I agree Asset Recovery liquidation in Medford is owned by a real piece of ***. He's impolite only wants money he will rob you if he knows you want something.

real dirtbag employees are the same losers thieves.... buys units calls the owner and charges you double the price after he acts like he cares seen him in action multiple times...
