Greetings, I recently purchased an ISBN number from Bowker for my book.
Amazon (KDP Publishing) is saying, when I try to upload the book, that the ISBN number has already been taken and that they cannot do anything more for me.
When I contacted the company (Bowker) that sold me the ISBN number, they told me to send Amazon the bookwire link with the book and ISBN number.
They said that should take care of the problem.
Amazon is still refusing to accept this--still insisting that another book has been assigned the ISBN number.
That cannot be true as my book is on bookwire with the ISBN number.
KDP is also no longer responding to my messages and there is NO real human being to speak to via phone.
So I am just stuck.

We've been able to correct the issue causing you not to use your ISBN. That said, you may go ahead and assign the ISBN to your book and proceed with publishing.
