One star. I've been mostly happy with Amazon, as reflected by my average 3.2 rating.

But most of the other factors are minor compared to their complete failure to follow thru on a security breach.

Had I known that PissedConsumer was going to average all of the factors that I rated, I'd have given Amazon all ones. So PC gets a rating of two stars.

My account was hacked. It started with reviews of purchases that I never made.

I reported each of phony review by phone to Amazon. Customer Service assured me that there was no problem. The first time. And the second time.

And the third time.

Today my email and password were changed. Today, Customer Service said exactly the same thing that they said the previous three times, except that they will "expedite" the review of my account.

If they had bothered to fix the first problem, or the second problem, or the third problem, there would not have been a fourth problem.

Product or Service Mentioned: Amazon Account.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Account service, Being mislead.
