Amazon - Frigidaire Dehumidifier Review from Woodbine, New Jersey

Several orders have not shipped on time to reach me by the delivery date when selecting the free shipping option. On a dehumidifier I called one day befoe promised delivery date as it had not even been shipped. They were quite sorry but "there web site states that they have up to 2 weeks after date to deliver" . This is a downright false hood! No where on the site does it say that. The woman went on to say that she would send it overnight delivery no charge to me. When it arrived I was charged $79 for shipping. So I had to call again to explain there was to be no shipping charges. This employee was less than pleasant but the shipping charges were removed eventually. I have had 2 other incidents similar but for space consideration I won't write about. What I do want to say is amazon has lost me as a customer. I recently bought the same dehumidifier, as a second one, but found it at home depot, same price as amazon and free shipping. It was to be delivered in 2 weeks which was fine as they were up front about it. Imagine my surprise when it came in 3 days!! I needed more rechargeable batteries- I found reputable place again same amazon price and with $49 purchase free expedited shipping. Came in 1 day. I have been a customer since Amazon started and always had prompt free shipping. As soon as they got people to buy Prime I saw a real deterioration in the shipping when I ordered. I refuse to spend $99 for Prime especially when I hear they also have shipping problems. I now research on Amazon and search the net for the same price and free shipping. GOOD BYE AMAZON.

It's glaringly apparent the outsourced and so called "Customer Service Reps" (CSR) barely graduated middle school at this company. A month ago, I ordered an item for $10.00 and I was also charged a whopping $105.93 without warning. I tried to explain this to their CSR only to hear, "Oh umm ok ahh well maybe ahh umm." I then requested a refund-only to hear the same mumbling. I told the CSR I would resolve the matter on my own and ended the call.

I used a $100 gift card for a order..it went through and they took the funds from my checking account as well..they agreed that they saw the error on their end..refuse to credit monies back..wanted me to mail items back first...I am beyond furious ..I believe it is a scam..they are hoping you order again with them ..they said I still had a $100 balance on the gift card... I want my checking account credited ..very shady...no help at all.

Fedex SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazon not to far behind.

So ordered with Amazon Prime 2 day delivery. For some reason they shipped with FedEx who missed the delivery. Mistake number one. Amazon should take more pride with who they do business with, which means they really don't care about their customers. FedEx now missed the delivery and have no Christmas gifts for my son. And what is everyone's response, we sorry it happens. Both companies did their job destroying Christmas for my son. If you are reading this, time to stop doing business with Amazon, and make sure you never use FedEx. Find someone else to carry your packages and find companies that ship with anyone but FedEx. Time to put a stop to businesses not meeting guarantees and not caring about their customers. The greed has gone far enough.

I got an email from Amazon this morning that I can save 20% on "eligible" items during their Cyber Monday Deals Week. I wanted to Christmas shop plus I need some clothing items and I was interested in a large item, a snowblower. So, I went shopping online. It takes me quite awhile since I am careful about exactly what I am getting - size, care instructions, warranties, etc. I invested several hours in the project. My total came to $644, then I applied the 20% off "CYBERWK20" code. My bill came all the way down to $641. Three whole dollars. Awesome!

Amazon search function stinks

We're looking for books by a certain author, Robert Cantwell. We enter the authors' name in the search engine under the category of "books". Amazon lists 421 book results. On the first page of listings, books by Thomas Hardy and Agnes Miller Parker, and Stendhal Marie-Henri Beyle. and Rafaello Busoni and Archie Green and Joseph M. Flora and Lucinda Hardwick MacKethan are posted. Why? What do these names have to do with Cantwell? Do I have to cull out the correct Cantwell name from the 36 other pages of listings posted? Not exactly correct or user friendly. I put the book title, authors name and date into google and viola - the book listing at Biblio appears. I guess I'll have to buy it there.

Amazon delays "free shipping" order

It seems to me that Amazon is purposely delaying mailing my order to force me to pay postage next time. Instead, after using them many years, they have lost me as a future customer. I placed two separate orders. One was a restaurant gift card that appeared in their goldbox offers. I ordered the gift card 7 days ago and Amazon has still not mailed it. I also ordered sporting equipment 10 days ago and Amazon has still not placed the item in the mail. I have called to complain, and the only solution they offer is to sign up for a free month of Amazon Prime, cancel my current order, and re-order the item using my Amazon Prime account. Next time I see something I like on Amazon, I will search for it from non-Amazon suppliers. I have found that other sellers place the items in the mail within 24-48 hours, while Amazon took my money right away and hasn't even attempted to mail the items. So sad.

Amazon continues with their standard practices of not posting 1 star reviews unless they are still somewhat favorable either to the seller, the product, or Amazon. Only minor issues are allowed to be expressed.

Censorship at its worst.

To date, I still do not have a full understanding of what is allowed to be said and what is not. The instructions by Amazon of what is permitted are cryptical at best, and confusing and contradictory at worst.

Amazon only allows "positive" reviews even if you give a 1 star rating they still will not allow any negative comments and will bounce your reviews. Their review rules are so complicated and complex that you really do not know what you are allowed to say and what not. First they tell you that you cannot review the product but can only review the service. Then they say you cannot review the purchasing process but can only review the product. It makes no sense. Bottom line: you are only allowed to say nice thing when reviewing on Amazon. If you try to say anything negative about any of their sellers or products that they sell, they have a review department that appears to be all-powerful in rejecting any and all comments that do not enhance Amazon sales.

Beware of trying to submit a negative experience review if AMAZON IS THE SELLER - They won't allow it!

I've spent thousands of dollars on Amazon over the years. I have never had any reviews rejected until now.

I was able to put negative PRODUCT reviews, but if the item was sold directly from Amazon and I had a bad experience with them, I was not allowed to publish the experience. I was honest, I told that they were lowering the price of an item I was buying in bulk by a couple dollars or so right after the purchase of it. When fearing that I would not have enough of the product for future use, I bought it again very soon after the first purchase, only to find that again, right after I purchased the product they lowered the price by over $2.00 per box of this product that goes for almost $30 a box. And I was buying several at a time.

When I discovered and caught them price gauging consistently and called them out on it, they rejected my review and refused to publish it, sending me a link to their guidelines.

I read all the guidelines and I didn't use any profanity or use links outside Amazon, nothing. I just told my honest experience and they declare they welcome HONEST reviews but they don't.

As I have seen 1 star reviews, this is not true, though I agree with the confusing.

If you are rating a product, it should be done on the page about the product.

If you are rating a seller, it should be fine in the page that has the seller info.

Yes, that is true, you can put lower ones but when RATING AMAZON itself if they are the ones that are the store front (when it says SOLD BY AMAZON) and not an individual seller, they will NOT allow any kind of seller feedback, nor can you leave negative reviews when it comes to Amazon the seller.
