I had two questions; 1. Why does Amazon make customers choose a specific UPS store or drop location for returns?

2. I could not find any information on Amazon.com on how to change the drop-off location of my return after the return had been accepted. I wanted to know if there was a way the customer can change this online, or whether they could ignore the location and drop it at any qualified UPS store. The c/s agent didn't seem to be clear on my questions, and proceeded to cancel my return and opened a new one.

She said I could take my return item to any UPS store. To be safe, I took it to the UPS store that I chose for my original return.

It was processed successfully. I appreciate her help, but I would still like answers to my questions.
