Hello from Japan.

I have been a long time Amazon user, U.S. Amazon, Amazon Global and Amazon Japan.

I've never had a problem using my U.S.

based debit card or Japan based credit card until a few

days ago.

I've been trying to send a family member a $100 gift card with my Japan based Visa card,

but was unable to do so. That was on a Saturday, so I waited until Monday and contacted

my Japanese bank. They said they lifted any restrictions on the card. I tried again.


I wasn't able to buy the gift certificate.

I am at a loss for what to do next. I will try one more time to erase all payment methods

(one debit card, one credit card) and input the information again.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
