I was contacted by Amazon yesterday, April 2 2022 that a charge of 929.99 on my Amazon card was being applied. I replied that that charge was not authorized and called Amazon at the customer service center.

I talked to a Representative named Daniel and was informed that I had been hacked.

He instructed me to go to an Amazon store to get a security card in the amount of $1050.00.

I told him there were no Amazon stores at my location so he asked if we had HyVee or Target as they are 3rd party contacts to assist with my situation. He instructed me to purchase 2 gift Amazon gift cards in the amount of $500 each and that Amazon would reimburse the card I used to purchase.

I did this and informed Daniel the card I used and scratched of the numbers off the back of the Gift Cards and sent him pictures off the back.

I have not been reimbursed for the $1000 and have not heard back from him.

My case number provided to me was AMZ1358!
