I am pissed because Amazon is selling the autobiography of convicted dog fighting kennel bank roller Michael Vick. I think they should take a leadership position and not profit from anything connected with Michael Vick. My suggestion is they donate any profits they derive from the sale of that book to an animal welfare charity or charities.

I have started a petition directed to the CEO of Amazon. https://www.change.org/petitions/ceo-of-amazon-com-donate-the-profits-of-michael-vick-s-book-free-again-to-animal-welfare

Here are some reasons why Why People Are Signing Join Them

I would prefer you not sell his book. But, if you do the profits should go to the rescues, rehabs and sanctuary that saved the dogs he had.

Come on, Amazon. Just refuse to sell it. And if you just don't have the guts to walk away, send the profits to the different rescues who took on the lifetime responsibility of caring for these animals. They are the heros here and the ones who should benefit from the proceeds of ANY sales. You'd have done better sponsoring a book about the rescue groups involved and their stories about what it's like caring for these poor victims of abuse.

If they are going to sell it, then to give it to help other animals is the right thing to do. Micheal Vick should not get any profits.

I'd prefer a petition requesting amazon and other major book sellers boycott Michael Vick's book entirely but since that is probably too much to ask, I feel the least they can do is donate the profit to support animal rescues and the people who actually do some good on this planet.

I'd rather nobody bought this ***'s book! But, since that won't happen, the profits should go to animal cruelty prevention and shelters.

It would be nice to see the profits go to the organizations that saved his dogs and spent countless hours and money rehabilitating them.

I've seen and worked with the horribly abused Michael Vick dogs & even as a serious Football fan I despise Michael Vick & feel it is unbelievably self-serving for this mean ego-maniac to be collecting any $ on a book. Shame on him and take a look at his real conscience, it's all about Vick & his super ego. Terrible, terrible man. Amazon should ban his book but I do agree that if it sells - send the money to help needy animal groups. Disgusted but hopeful, Laurel

It is time profiteering from those who abuse dogs and other animals stop. People and corporations need to set leadership examples by saying no to obscene profits that are deried from exploiting the work of felons such as Michael Vick.

Michael Vick should not profit from his "celebrity". I agree with others, Amazon should refuse to sell the book. However, if they do, the profits should go to help animals by donating them to animal rescue groups.

its honestly its not amazons place to donate, they did no wrong, but if they are willing to carry and sell the book some kind of donation should be given otherwise all they are doing is glorifying michaels felony and making a profit yet still off of animal cruelty.

He must not profit for his atrocities, and be glorified in his animal terrorist past. Shame on you, you Monster! Michael Vick, you sick sociopath, your sports fans may bow before you, but your ignorance is matched only by your arrogance. You are a degenerate and I loathe you!

Personally, I would rather that Amazon NOT SELL the book at all!!!!! Nor ANYONE ELSE!!!!! I won't buy it! I encourage every honest, hard working, humane individual to boycott this book! And furthermore, if I see the book on Amazon, I will boycott them!

I do not believe Michael Vick or any company he's associated with should profit from his abhorrent cruelty. Such companies, including Amazon, should either pull the books from Amazon, or donate the proceeds to animal welfare charities.

At least 1/2 of every dollar of profit made should go to Pit Bull rescue organizations. Since he has absolutely NO remorse over abusing/killing his dogs, it is the very LEAST he can do. Let those innocent lives he chose to end have the justice they deserve, and help to protect the lives of Pit Bulls in danger now and in the future.

Please be conscionable, and give all of the profits to those who have rehabilitated the dogs that Vick tortured.

Because I live in the Philadelphia area where everyday I have to hear of the hero-worship of this man and it makes me ill. Those dogs died a horrible death and he serves no time for animal cruelty yet is rewarded with a huge contract making him a hero in the eyes of kids.

As a an online retail giant you could make a difference! Love Amazon and have been a regular shopper but please, no blood money!!!

Slick Vick is feeding his ego and bank account, he could have donated prior to this but he is one of the many criminals that is seeking to profit from him crimes.

I would not view a movie, read a book or listen to anyone who attempts to profit from crime. Make a difference, speak in a way Vick will hear...his ego or pocket!
