Amazon in San Francisco, California - Insulting liars
Where do I begin? I depend on Amazon. They have again backed the disreputable OnTrac. It is on my acct they are not allowed to deliver my packages. I paid $8.99 express fee and the package showed up a day late. TAmazon CSR won’t refund the fee. Shane on them.

Amazon in San Francisco, California - Products? Yes. Back-End Service and Customer Support? *** No!!
I have been ordering for years. The first incident happened a year ago when I was not Prime. They took 72 hours just to charge my card, let alone get it fulfilled and packed and shipped! It was blamed on me being non-Prime. In a back-and-forth lengthy email exchange, I was offered a year of Prime for Free (I have it IN WRITING). They rescinded that offer and said that the CSR was out of line and they cannot do that. I therefore paid for the Prime. I sent a certified snail mail letter to them but received nothing in response. Currently, I made an order a week ago and my card was not charged in more than 72 hours!! This is completely unacceptable. This time, they blamed it on my PO Box status. Someone somewhere decided to put it "on the back burner" because PO Boxes take a long time anyways, right? WRONG. I order from a place online once a week, and they charge the card **as soon as you click 'submit order' -- as it SHOULD be!** I then receive a tracking number typically within a few hours. Amazon is so large and so big and they think we cannot do without them, and so they think they can act ***-nilly and without regulation and have draconian and illogical policies and practices without consequence! I cancelled my account and deleted all my credit cards and addresses. It is not easy to find some of the stuff elsewhere, but I will absolutely do so from now on.
- Prime membership
- Prime illusions
- Prime bait and switch

Poor customer service
On Amazons self proclaimed black Friday I ordered a watch. The watch I received was different from the one order. Amazons solution is to refund my money but I dont want a refund I want the watch I paid for. Not such a good deal after all. The photo of the watch they dont have is still on the site but the part number belongs to a different watch...a classic bait and switch. Not happy at all!

Amazon's false listing of recalled book
Due to publisher's mistake, book printed missing about a dozen illustrations were circulated before the problem was discovered by author who presented a perfect and complete MS in PDF to be published. When the mistake was corrected by the publisher and correct printed copies were made available, Amazon and some other retailers did not send in old copies (ISBN # ending in 6 with print date of Oct,2013). Amazon is still selling the incorrect copies but listing them with two ISBN numbers, the correct one under the incorrect one and claiming the corrected version print date of Dec. 2013 which is false for the edition. Please stop this deceptive advertising practice. Thanks, Jayne Blatchly

Amazon in San Francisco, California - Charging sales tax on shipping &handling
Last week I looked at my Amazon invoice and noticed that they had charged sales tax on s&h. Yes, I live in the great state of California and must pay sales tax on Amazon products, but that's another discussion. This complaint is about charging sales tax on s&h charges. Who does that? Nobody except Amazon! They sent me the same answer twice. The answer suggests that the State of California allows them to do so, so I looked at some invoices I have received from companies located in California. Shipping&Handling charges are ALWAYS below the sales tax line!!! This may seem trivial, but Amazon is known for customer service while engaging in customer rip-off. I seem to be the only California customer who has noticed this tax, if not, would the rest of you please complain and not back down from their lame excuses?!?!
Amazon in San Francisco, California - Product Resent
I just got off a call with amazon customer service and I was really impressed with their efficiency and courtesy. I had a package that was marked as delivered on my account page, but I never got it. So I waited a few days and then called- the customer service page has a form to indicate the issue and then at the bottom is a button labeled 'call me.' I was put in touch w a rep almost immediately. She said that bc it was delivered through amazon they'd replace it. She also said they'd investigate what happened and try to find the missing package. (If the old one turned up, I'd need to return the replacement, which is fine.) The only difficulty was that she had an accent and was a little hard to understand. I had my issue resolved in five minutes. Best customer service experience ever.
For over 4 months, Amazon has been unable to restore my account to normal status despite dozens of phone calls with them, 3 way call with Amazon and my credit card company verifying that my card is valid, following instructions in their emails to me and more. Fall...
Kindle stopped working and Amazon will not replace
My Kindle stopped working when just outside warranty and Amazon will not repair or replace the device at no charge. They are offering that I can buy a replacement at a slightly reduced price. Talking with customer service now and have been escalated twice. Seems like a big waste to turn off a loyal Amazon customer for more than 14 years who would have continued buying from Amazon forever. This company claims to be a credible player in the electronics industry but has no idea how to stand behind the quality of their merchandise. When I've had similar problems with Apple products there was no issue at all.
Amazon.com they Take your money and dont deliver!!
I have made an order with amazon.com on January 7th. Its now feb.....no product. I have never seen shipping estimates of 1-21 days, and gurantees money back in over a month. All it took was one click to take my money. Amazon needs to restructure its marketplace practices. Requirements of shipping and tracking info should be implemented to better serve and protect comsumers. One month of waiting is absurd and time consuming, to file a A-Z claim. All this time I have been waiting, hoping my product arrives. A month later and now I dont have to guess, now its never coming. Requiring shipping/tracking info will better allow consumers to pinpoint where their product is, and if it has even been shipped. Unless this will change, I will never shop from amazon.
AMAZON SUCKS..3Weeks NO delivery, C.Service no help
I have ordered a ps3 Jan 7th 08!! I was emailed order was shipped on Jan 9th 08. Its now Jan 27 08, no product!! Amazon C. service states because I have purchased from the marketplace I have to wait till Feb 1st 08 for filing a claim. All I want to know is, Why have a shipment date, yet no type of proof of shipment has been surfaced to me. I have emailed 18 times, and no replies from this seller. C. Service states they can't help me until after feb 1st 08. Amazon, you know what will help me??? Communicate with your seller, require shipment tracking confirmation. Require you sellers to reply to customer's emails. P.S. Take a look at ebays requirements and policies, maybe you all might learn something!!!
