Same thing just happened to me when I tried to order a $2.99 video. $105 just disappeared from my checking account for a Prime membership that I did not want nor did I authorize.

And now they tell me I must wait 3 to 5 days for a refund, even though they had no problem making the money disappear instantly.

Effin' bastards! Last time I ever order anything from Amazon.

i been working with the AMAZON REGISTER for a long time and now that they are going to cancel the service suddenly my account it's block and i can't transfer the money that i still have to my business account this is a night mare no one can tell me WHAT IS THE PROBLEM less solved very BAD SERVICE . I ordered Hoverboards for grandchildren only to find out they came from China and maybe the ones to explode. We have nit used rhe ine we did receivex because I ordered two was charged over $500.00 for 2 received one shipment and one board. Did not find out till xmas eve when I went to wrap gifts that order was incomplete. Contacted seller well over 24 hours ago and still no response from them. Amazon keeps saying give seller time to respond. They had no problem taking money out of my account now I dont care who puts it back but someone better. Buyer beware

Fraud is a strong word, but how else do you describe a company that definitely knows you returned an item because they sent the wrong thing; refunds your money and then waits for a month and re-charges you for the item. They say you didn't return it, but the tracking page on your account says that they did receive it more than a month ago. And, customer service - they were no help. Person laughed and said "you caught us". Was that supposed to be funny? How many people haven't "caught" them and have paid for things they never received or how many double charges for items.

Amazon uses criminal tactics and fraud in order to steal and keep seller's funds longer, so Amazon can continue to collect interest on the money that they were supposed to release to the seller. They are completely CORRUPT and will stop at nothing to steal as much money as they can by lying, committing slander and withholding funds without ANY true or valid explanation and will ignore all inquiries for a legitimate explanation of why they have done this.

My advice is Don't EVER become a SELLER, with this company. You will definitely be ripped off, and defamed without TRUE reasons.

I will be filing criminal charges and reporting them as well, very soon.

I bought today a Kindle Fire HDX 7", HDX Display, Wi-Fi, 64 GB (Previous Generation - 3rd), i bought it because there was a promotion on the right side showing 5 easy payments for it, for $50 / month, it seemed great (It was not financing, it was a promo)! After initiating the purchase, my card was charged for the entire amount. I called the customer service, of course they did not know which promo i was referring to, so i have decided to cancel my purchase. Believe it or not, i will have to wait for 10 days to get a refund. I make purchases all the time on Amazon, so i know what i saw. I did not take a screen shot of the purchase page, so it is my word against Amazon, too bad, after 10 years i will close my account. This is a scam and i am sure people get charged for the entire amount but they don't complain. I tried to repurchase the same product (but the promo was gone, one by IP address? Maybe.)

Amazon in San Francisco, California - Product Resent

I just got off a call with amazon customer service and I was really impressed with their efficiency and courtesy. I had a package that was marked as delivered on my account page, but I never got it. So I waited a few days and then called- the customer service page has a form to indicate the issue and then at the bottom is a button labeled 'call me.' I was put in touch w a rep almost immediately. She said that bc it was delivered through amazon they'd replace it. She also said they'd investigate what happened and try to find the missing package. (If the old one turned up, I'd need to return the replacement, which is fine.) The only difficulty was that she had an accent and was a little hard to understand. I had my issue resolved in five minutes. Best customer service experience ever.

On August 2013 the customer service was not that great. I would classify it as barely passed as customer service. They do the bare minimum.

If Amazon believes they genuinely give good customer service then seemingly the customer correspondence would reflect a willingness to get customers feedback, rather you get an auto reply and are told to wait for an answer. In my case I trusted them and told them I would abide by their decision. I didn't make any demands, I just asked they be fair. If they were fair I wouldn't like to know what they consider unfair treatment of a customer.

Recent dealings with Amazon has been a real eyeopener. Any good will I once had toward the company is gone. Reading this site I realize that what there was lots of red flags about the company operations that I ignored. I will making future purchases quite differently in the future and will absolutely check all my options before I order from them. They are good but not great and dealing with them can be a nightmare.

If someone knows how to navigate the customer service at Amazon please let the rest of us know.

Was this a fulfillment direct from Amazon.com or one of their vendors? I suspect because the price was low, someone discovered that fact and could not sell it for that price without a loss.

Amazon is usually quite good, but sometimes the item just is not available and it is cancelled after a period of time. I had that happen once. It is what it is.

You will NOT do better at another online---or physical store--site than Amazon. Period.
