Amazon....absolutely no complaints

I have been ordering from Amazon for seveeral years and I have never had a problem that was not quickly resolved to my saisfaction. Is Amazon the least expensive for purchases...sometimes yes, sometimes no. I always do an online price check to see if the item I want is less expensive through another website and usally Amazon is the least expensive. We are Prime members and love the access to tv shows, movies, music, books and videos aside from the 2 day free shipping on most items. Do keep in mind that Amazon often does not stock the items, they are delivered from a 3rd party vendor...you can read the item description and see who is shipping your item. Kudos to Amazon...great products at great prices and sorry to read that some others don't agree with me.

amazon.com shares the personal customer information you provide them in good faith and with the expectation that your personal information will never be shared with anyone. Especially any of its affiliates or associated business partners. Personal information can never be shared with any other business or private parties. This is done by Amazon without customer notification, customer approval, or customer input. The practice of sharing private customer information is illegal and extremely unethical. I will never do business with Amazon or any of its affiliates again. It shocks me that such a large business has to resort to such tactics to grow their business

Coo-surveys is abusing Amazon Turk to fill their mailing lists

Twice now, I've accepted an Amazon HIT that asks one to go to a site and fill out a form to "just to test that everything works smoothly before we release it." It claims that you must use your real information because it's testing the ability of the software to distinguish between real and fake information. You're supposed to fill out a page or so and then get to a sentence that reads "Coke and Pepsi are now ******* " and fill in what it says in the stars to complete the HIT. But you never get to such a page. What you HAVE ended up doing is genuinely signed up for their site and all their "offers," in violation of Turk policy by "requiring disclosure of the Worker's identity or e-mail address, either directly or indirectly" and "requiring registration at another website or group." I have reported them multiple times to Amazon, yet they continue to re-post essentially the same HIT.

Amazon - Woodwind & Brasswind would not honor agreed to price and confirmed sale

This is a very disreputable company. I purchased a keyboard and power adapter from them at a good sale price. I had many vendor choices available to choose from, all at the same sale price. I choose this company because their website seemed nice and quite frankly, it was the first to appear in my internet search results. I should have read the reviews already posted to the internet first. They gladly took my order and immediately sent out and billed me for the adapter. The keyboard was on back order. A couple days after billing me for the adapter, they CANCELLED my order for the keyboard without ANY explanation. When I called them, they told me the unit was no longer in production. This was a blatant lie. First, an item no longer being in production doesn't mean that it drops off the face of the earth the next day. It would take considerable time for the the already manufactured supply to be exhausted. Second, this same unit is still available elsewhere on the internet (I guess they didn't get the memo that it isn't in production anymore). The only thing is, it is now being sold at $50 or more elsewhere. The sales are now over. This company CLEARLY decided that they could sell the unit I purchased for much more than they contracted with me to sell it for. Then they even tried to get me to buy something else that was more expensive from them. ARE THEY KIDDING???? Now I am stuck with an useless adapter that I had to pay for. What frauds they are!! Beware when dealing with them....go elswehere.... AS AN UPDATE...the product they told me is no longer available (that's why they had to cancel my order) is now again listed on their website as available soon...but now for $30 more than what they agreed to sell it to me for. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE???

Amazon - Charged $2700 for a $200 tripod

I ordered the Vixen Optics SXD2 mount from Amazon for $2699. As I write this, they show 1 in stock. That is not true. I ordered the mount last week when they showed 2 in stock. The order should consist of 2 boxes...one weighing 15.4 pounds with the tripod, the other weighing 43 pounds with the mount itself. I was shipped ONLY the 15.4-pound tripod box...and that box had been opened so it was apparently a returned item which was sold as new. The mount was NEVER shipped. When I spoke with customer service, they promised a complete new 2-box order would be shipped that day and arrive two days later. On the day I should have received the replacement order, I instead receive an email stating it will be 4-6 weeks...which is strange since the website still lists one as being in stock several days later. I immediately cancelled the order and ordered it elsewhere. Bottom line: Amazon charged my credit card $2699 for a $200 tripod and now refuses to issue any kind of credit to my card until they receive the tripod back, which is already in the hands of UPS. I ended up ordering the mount through Adorama...and DID NOT go through Amazon. The entire order (two boxes) was shipped the same day. I will never order another high-end item from Amazon. Amazon's customer service reps seem to be trained to repeat, over and over, "I understand"...when they clearly do not. Insert a product link
