Amazon sucks at delivering their own packages, it's terrible!

After calling amazon 3 times in 4 days about a package, they gave me $20 worth of credit. When I checked on package tracking it had it marked as "directly delivered to resident", which was odd since I wasn't there. After calling them again, they offered to send a replacement. Then told me if both packages show up I would be charged twice unless I ship one back to amazon. I have never heard of a company screwing up so royally then warning the customer they would punish them by charging them double for not doing their job!

Take a look at who the carrier is---post office, UPS, etc. If it is the post office, the odds are it will be delivered Sunday or Monday.

This is the flaw in Amazon's system---while they get cheaper rates by using the post office the reliability of actual delivery is not so hot. I recall a while back looking at the tracking info at Amazon for a package and it said "out for delivery" but it was actually delivered the next day.

The postman said that just because it says "out for delivery" doesn't mean it actually is. And, I believe Amazon admits this on their site somewhere in the help section as an answer to this situation.

I attempted to purchase my own book through KDP on Tuesday. I selected one day shipping but the estimated delivery showed one week ! After calling KDP I was told that there was a delay in shipping and to bad. Sorry for your luck. I called customer service and was told the sane thing. "Sorry". I ended up ordering my own book from myself through prime and got it shipped in 3 days. Not two days as promised! I worked in customer service for years and telling a customer sorry with no resolution is unacceptable ! I'm thinking about pulling my book and going with another company because I don't want to do business with a company that says " Sorry and Oh well" as a resolution to shipping issues !

Completely agree about Amazon. Have had multiple private vehicles with out of state plates (not even the little blue van that at least has Amazon signage).

The drivers of these cars dump the package and peel out of our driveway. Also recently found that their concierge service is not what it used to be. They will not make it right when an item is received broken. Even if the web site indicates many of the same item is available they will not honor the prime shipping (which I pay for through my membership) that I used on the first order that came broken unless the replacement 3rd party seller offers it.

So they’ve become a pretty rigid company that does not empower their employees to pick up the shipping tab to replace a broken item that I already paid prime membership to have delivered quickly. The reps’ hands are tied.

Spent an hour on the phone and spoke to 3 levels of customer service. Now have no item and am completely turned off of Amazon.

Almost every time I try to order something they say the item takes special handling and can't be shipped to my area. The items are not heavy or fragile. I think someone there is discriminating against me. They can't ship a sheet set?

I have been a loyal customer of Amazon for over 19 years having bought books back when that is all they sold. Fast forward to today and all of the screwed up orders and delayed deliveries. 4 ORDERS IN A ROW! Needless to say I am not going to be a customer any longer. I have cancelled my prime membership and am taking my business elsewhere. Way to loose a good customer. Keep it up and you'll be out od business fast. 3 orders with incorrect items and one not delivered as promised. I even took the slower shipping option rather than 2 day.

I was waiting for a delivery of an internal hard drive. The day of the arrival, the delivery woman walked all over my lawn to then THROW my fragile package 10 feet from where she stood on my lawn to my door. She did not even bother ringing the doorbell. The item, which was only in a bubble-lined envelope, was obviously damaged.
