Both Trey & Pablo are frauds. They offer aged accounts befor ehe confirmation of order and then offer a new account which gets suspended by Amazon in 3-4 days.

They extract more money in the name od providing another account with buyer feedbacks in it.

When the time to deliver the accounts they start giving excuses and if you get frustrated with their delay tactics, they would start abusing. This site is a scam and just siphon of your money.

Amazon in San Francisco, California - Charging sales tax on shipping &handling

Last week I looked at my Amazon invoice and noticed that they had charged sales tax on s&h. Yes, I live in the great state of California and must pay sales tax on Amazon products, but that's another discussion. This complaint is about charging sales tax on s&h charges. Who does that? Nobody except Amazon! They sent me the same answer twice. The answer suggests that the State of California allows them to do so, so I looked at some invoices I have received from companies located in California. Shipping&Handling charges are ALWAYS below the sales tax line!!! This may seem trivial, but Amazon is known for customer service while engaging in customer rip-off. I seem to be the only California customer who has noticed this tax, if not, would the rest of you please complain and not back down from their lame excuses?!?!

Hey ***, California law clearly states that "Shipping and Handling" fees ARE subject to sales taxes. If the line just said "Shipping" there would have been no tax. That's the case in many states, too.

Plus, anything charged as sales taxes or anything else identified as "taxes" must be submitted to the state...the merchant never gets to keep the money. Amazon gets audited by sales tax officials in every state every year, and they need to prove that the taxes were actually paid.

No scam here. You should wise up before embarrassing yourself in public again.

I'm glad they are not charging sales tax on shipping on invoices sent to Texas. They have acknowledged that they do on invoices for sales to Californians. Please don't assume I made a mistake reading the invoice, if I had, the issue would not exist.

Perhaps you should learn how to write and spell before you post.

Amazon Prime - What a Scam

I finally decided after years to go ahead and pay for a subscription to Amazon Prime. I am renovating my home and thought it would be great if I can get items in 2 days time. I don't need the movie service nor do I have a Kindle. Anything marked 'Prime' is suppose to be received within 2 days - and I emphasize 'suppose to'. All items I have purchased have not made it by the date they said it would arrive. With a recent purchase or a small item, it was obvious it wouldn't make it due to the date it shipped. To this day, 3 days later, I still haven't received the latest item. Vendors that sell on Amazon get their items shipped quicker and use means like Fed Ex or UPS for quicker shipping. I am cancelling my subscription - Amazon normally ships fast enough anyway so it Prime is nothing more than a scam.

Same experience here. I have searched around and found out that amazon's shipping partners (FedEx and UPS) now ship Prime items PART of the way, then turn the package over to the US Postal Service for the remainder of the journey. The shipping companies save money and the Prime customers get screwed, because we are NOT getting what we pay for.

Prime's main business is the movie service. That alone is worth 79.00. Also the two day prime shipping is for items Amazon sells them self not third party.

Anonymous
#734106

An item shipped via First Class or Priority Mail will usually arrive within two days anyway, unless it's the whole way across the country and to a remote area.

So you're paying a $79 a year membership fee for something you're already getting for free. Very clever, because 99.9% of their customers don't have enough experience mailing packages to realize that they're being scammed.

Shipping at Amazon used to be reliable and Prime was the icing on the cake, but Amazon business model is squeezing every penny out of the customer/sellers has backfired. Now there is to many ways that tracking and delivery dates are being 'altered' to reflect a better delivery record than what the customer is actually getting. Items are being sent out up to six days later after a customer has been notified 'your order has been shipped'. Other items are being sent by multiple delivery services causing delays that are foreseeable yet no updates are ever sent to customers. Note a previous post where a guy was waiting on a car part that had been shipped yet it was to later be learned the seller didn't even have the car part.

It would be helpful to whomever posted they gave more details as to the tracking record on their packages. I was recently told a range of dates that an item would arrive - yet the items hadn't even left the sellers location until one day after the earliest day of delivery so of course it arrived 'late'. Better if Amazon was honest with the customers. They could easily do so if it was their intention to be forthright in their business dealings.

If Prime customers are being mistreated that is no great surprise. I am sure you are absolutely honest in your representations. Read the other posts at this site alone that verify the information from all over the world. Amazon no longer has the reputation is previously enjoyed.

You should look up the definition of "scam" because an Amazon Prime membership doesn't remotely qualify. I always have received my items in the time frame given, occasionally in ONE DAY.

Not everything purchased from the website qualifies for Prime shipping, are you even aware of that? Have you even bothered to contact Amazon customer service?

@sessa

You should look at the name of this website again before you plop your rotund caboose in front of the keyboard and start typing garbage. Obviously, the first reviewer DID NOT RECEIVE the items in a timely manner or he/she would not be "pissed" and would not be here.

Further, contacting customer service would only result in a time wasted speaking to someone in India.

Hopefully the first reviewer has received some modicum of information from others here, because there is no way anyone could receive any useful information from a know nothing *** like yourself.

Have you complained to Amazon. You need to.

I have Prime and have always gotten my goods in two days. This two days does not include the day of shipping. Thus, if it is shipped on a Monday, it should arrive on Wednesday.

Try calling or emailing Amazon. They are very good with customer service and can look up your orders and determine just when you received the items.

Can someone tell me how Amazon REALLY operates? RE: serious complaints

I shopped Amazon.com regularly for at least five years. I buy equally between the actual Amazon and persons who sell from the site and the item is sent by the seller but they still work under Amazon.com roof. (Usually those sellers required a shipping surcharge) I average three purchases a month, est $80/month is billed to my credit card. I have been burned several times after ordering on impulse when later I discover the original price was wildly inflated and I could of gotten the same locally at a much better price. Prior experiences I believe Amazon represents at the time of purchase is only truthful about 80% of the time - which is troubling. Why can't Amazon be truthful 98% of the time or all the time? However, the convenience is worth the money so I have never filed any complains until recently. Seemingly the Seller was wholly unreliable both in this representation of the product, the contents upon arrival and they would not work with me to resolve the problem. The Sellers emails were was so outrageous that in my state, had they been a local merchant their actions would be grounds for a criminal charges as the Seller sent repeated inappropriate emails. I emailed Amazon A - Z Guarantee detailing my concerns. They responded with a full refund but no further information on how the situation was 'resolved'. My questions are: How do you call Amazon Customer Service? I couldn't find a number and as the Seller became increasingly inappropriate I had no way to notify Amazon. What will a phone call do vs an email? When a complaint is filed with Amazon what do they do? After the Buyer contacts A - Z Guarantee is that complaint forwarded to the Seller? They never made reference to it in the numerous emails. After I clearly documented the business relationship had deteriorated beyond repair to both Amazon and the Seller, the disturbing emails continued unabated. I had to be subject to the wrath for over 10 days and near as many emails. Does Amazon protect us from this kind of thing? Seemingly no. Why couldn't Amazon Security have just blocked the emails from their end? Within hours before A - Z Guarantee emailed to say I would be issued a full refund I got a email from the Seller demanding I mail back the item in their original box in the same condition it was received. How do I mail back an item? Where is the information on the Amazon site on how to mail back packages to a Seller? Where do I find the authorization referenced? Does it also include the address it is to be sent? The company who shipped it or the address on the otherside of the country where the order was taken? Who pays the postage? No information from Amazon at all, nor from the Seller. In my case the Seller demanded the items be as returned in condition for resale . . . which in may case it wouldn't be. I had held off even opening the box for over a week assuming it would be returned. Since the contents was not what I had ordered, and the packing slip clearly said it wasn't what I ordered, yet the Seller claimed what was ordered was inside the sealed box I felt compelled to open it . . . it was opened only to verify I was right. Actually I was only partially right but still it wasn't what anticipated at the time the order was placed. What if what you are asked to return isn't returnable in the same condition it was sent? How are those complaints handled? The sellers conduct was outrageous. I don't want what was sent, nor does it have any substantial value, but I don't want any further reason to be subject to Sellers berates either. Will Amazon permit me to keep what I got since Amazon said they issued me a full refund without any conditions attached? Why didn't Amazon step in when things are clearly out of control? An email from A - Z seemingly knew of what was happening yet they didn't do anything to stop it. In addition I believe with good reason the Seller was instrumental in posting at a completely different website I operate a bad review about me that is now 'up'. If I complain to Amazon about my concerns would it do any good? Finally, what is the general consensus about this A - Z Guarantee. Is is genuine or just lip service for Amazon? I was sorely disappointed and certainly plan to stop buying from Amazon.com except from the actual Amazon warehouse. I don't feel I can 'take it any further with Amazon.com' am I right?

Amazon - Item that claim to have free shipping

I tried ordering Item through Amazon to third party, Amazon stated the product had free shipping. When I got to placing the order, there was a shipping cost three times the product price. I contacted Amazon customer service, They said they had no control over the webpage (this is amazon webpage) that if a vendor wanted to say free shipping then charge shipping, they have no control or responsibility to inform customers. I am waiting to find out why there is shipping charges to my last order from amazon. All from Amazon qualifying for super saving and the order exceed the minimum by three

In order for items to qualify for free super saving shipping they must be sold by and shipped from Amazon not a third party seller. Third party sellers are people who list items on Amazon for sale and Amazon cannot control the price they sell it for or how much they charge for shipping.

Amazon - Free shipping and handling

I was charged for shipping and handling all because I didnt click the free shipping button. It said FREE SHIPPING on orders over $25 and I could bundle to meet that requirement and I did. I was still CHARGED FOR SHIPPING because I didnt click the free shipping button. This has to be the DUMBEST thing I've heard of. If it says free shipping then it should be free shipping. Should not have to hit a free shipping button just to get free shipping. Common sense would tell you no one wants to pay for shipping if its free. I will not order from amazon again. I am done with them if they cant resolve a estimated $6 shipping charge.

Amazon in West Palm Beach, Florida - Sick of lasership

Sick and tired of complaining to Amazon about the cut-rate shipping service LASERSHIP. I understnad they want to save money on Prime memberships, but this company damages packages and products, and can't deliver on time. I have video of them throwing my items 20+ feet into my door, breaking items, leaving them in the rain, and I've had to call Amazon to have them fix it each time. I don't understand why they can't stop using this carrier. I've been with Amazon for 10+ years, and I'm done dealing with this... no more orders for me.

Amazon in Dallas, Texas - What a Joke!

For a company hailed for its excellent customer service, my experiences has led me to believe quite the opposite. The lovely email responses you receive from them appear written by a computer...very generic and patronizing. Look-if I am pissed the last thing I want is someone to apologize deceivingly and futher more offer no true solution to my angst. Instead, a generic response is fabricated and directions to guidelines concerning the issue. In other words, they do what they want and your just *hit out of luck. SO goes the problem with online retailers such as Amazon that do not have true box locations. Your stuck fighting with an iinternet entity who could really care less and there is nothing you can do about it in person. The so-called plus for Amazon- free shipping for orders over $25- is also a total scam. I suggest doing a little comparison shopping before buying from Amazon. Wal-mart has a very good online service and I have experienced true customer service through them.

I personally think Amazon is testing out their drone system by first replacing their customer service with drones. I had a recent rather large issue with Amazon and all I got were generic responses, copy and paste repetitions of the same exact messages.

You feel like you are getting no where and just running around in circles.

Personally, due to my circumstances, I will most likely be boycotting Amazon completely.

Anyone who would tout WalMart as an example of good service over Amazon.com and give no specifics of a complaint is not to be taken seriously.

The problem with this kind of complaint is that you give absolutely no specifics!! XXXX company is bad!

WTF? If you can't actually explain the issue, why should anyone take your vague complaint seriously?
