I'm an Amazon Prime member. I've ordered for years now with no issues. Last month, I tried to order a $20 purse for the wife. Got a message saying item can't be shipped to my address. I tried my home address, and I tried my p.o. box. Would not let me complete order....

How on earth are people this stupid? If your address is showing up as undeliverable in their system, it is an issue with the post office or it's simply that you are outside of the shipping area for whomever the shipper is on that product.

Happens sometimes. The drop boxes are literally the easiest thing on earth and if you can't figure those out....well.....

Evidently when I ordered an Item from amazon. I was signed up for Amazon Prime. The item came which I was happy with and I paid Synchrony Bank in full. I did receive an email in March and April which I ignored since my account was paid in full. On May 20, 2019 I get a...

Ok we get it, you forgot to cancel your amazon prime trial. You figured you would use the trial period for the free shipping and cancel once your package arrived.

But then life distracted you and you didn’t respond to the emails because you literally forgot. We have all been there at one point or another. It’s just one of those life lessons we all get. Yep it blows chunks the monkey!

It’s a reminder that free really isn’t free and there is always a cost somewhere. I get you didn’t use it beyond that one instance but they made all of the benefits available to you during that time. It’s how a membership works. You pay for the right and availability to use a product or service.

Always be wary of ANY website that offers you a freebie for trialing their service. Never order a trial size item either or seriously discounted item either. Both lead to membership scams.

Do try and be adult enough to just admit the mistake though. I realize that admission may cause the cosmos to end as we know it seeing as nothing is ever anyone’s fault personally.

Apparently I was given a "free Prime trial" for a length of time. On Nov. 15 2018, I was billed $129.26 for a year of Prime. I've been using Prime and I like it, but I don't like the underhanded way I was "signed" up.

I just ordered a pair of shoes. Shipping was free.

I clicked on non Prime free 7 day shipping. "Congratulations" I'm enrolled in prime. Man that *** me off. Went in and cancelled it.

It damn well better not get billed to my credit card. Now I have to write 50 more words so this ridiculous software sees that I have used all of the words entitled to me.

Maybe I prefer to use an economy of words so that my message of utter frustration can be seen. Just a couple words left- Amazon sucks.

The last 3 things that I tried to return (Prime member) they charged me shipping PER ITEM to drop off at UPS. This has never happened before. One thing I didn't need by the time it arrived. the two others were wrong size with no option to replace with the correct size....

For the thing you no longer needed - that's your problem. Amazon isn't even obligated to accept that return.

For the wrong sized items, this is very odd. I have never had an issue with being charged to return items if they were incorrect in any way.

I hope this is not the way they are headed. :(

I am a Prime customer who went back to university through a UK-based school. I wanted to set my prime membership to the student prime membership, but alas, the website would not accept an .ac.uk email address (the UK equiv of an .edu address). I tried a simple chat to fix the issue. Seems like an easy fix. I can't imagine I am the first US student to attend a UK university remotely in the history of Prime Student. The first chat was a run-around to contact the amazon.co.uk guys, but they can't sign me up for a US prime account (so I would be able to use digital services, but no shipping and all payment is in GBP). Ok, fair enough, so I return to customer service chat to let them know. This time the run around was with student escalation services. They claimed I lived in the UK and the co.uk site would be "more convenient". Of course you can't reply to those emails, so I had no way to explain the circumstances. I then called directly only to spend an hour running in circles with the CSR who had absolutely no idea what she was doing. After explaining all the above, she still told me I had to go through the website (this is after 45 minutes, mind you). Finally she just hung up on me. I called back, and the CSR was more understanding, but still referred me back to escalation services. I am not confident that the problem has been solved. I have been ordering from Amazon for over a decade and I have never been tempted to stop using the service as I am right now. So frustrating.

I have been ordering for years. The first incident happened a year ago when I was not Prime. They took 72 hours just to charge my card, let alone get it fulfilled and packed and shipped! It was blamed on me being non-Prime. In a back-and-forth lengthy email exchange, I was offered a year of Prime for Free (I have it IN WRITING). They rescinded that offer and said that the CSR was out of line and they cannot do that. I therefore paid for the Prime. I sent a certified snail mail letter to them but received nothing in response. Currently, I made an order a week ago and my card was not charged in more than 72 hours!! This is completely unacceptable. This time, they blamed it on my PO Box status. Someone somewhere decided to put it "on the back burner" because PO Boxes take a long time anyways, right? WRONG. I order from a place online once a week, and they charge the card **as soon as you click 'submit order' -- as it SHOULD be!** I then receive a tracking number typically within a few hours. Amazon is so large and so big and they think we cannot do without them, and so they think they can act ***-nilly and without regulation and have draconian and illogical policies and practices without consequence! I cancelled my account and deleted all my credit cards and addresses. It is not easy to find some of the stuff elsewhere, but I will absolutely do so from now on.

Out of sudden 3 weeks ago my debit card was charged for an amazon prime membership despite the fact I had never submitted to amazon prime! It is good that I notice this from my bank statement, so that I canceled it right away, and they say they are going to refund in 2-3 days (it better be true). Whatever, but taking 49 dollars from your customer account for a try-out service that he/she doesn't want is super deceptive and cheap Amazon. I hate this kind of business scheme, and they should be ashamed as they are a *** big and good company.
