Amazon - Customer Service Needs Training

On 11/28/17, I spoke with a customer service rep who couldn't either understand my question or had little if any knowledge of how to resolve issue. I have a monthly prime membership and decided pay for an annual membership. Since I was charged the monthly fee 6 days before I upgraded to the annual fee, I wanted to know would I have any reimbursement (pro-rated/full amount) for the monthly fee which I previously paid. The rep couldn't relate and kept repeating that I had 2 prime memberships. It was a rather laboring and frustrating conversation, so I decided to cancel the annual, keep the monthly and pay for the annual next month on the date I pay for my monthly membership. (This way I wouldn't have an extra payment) She still couldn't relate. I told her we had a communication issue and needed to speak to someone who had the skill set to assist me. By the time a new rep came on the line, my membership was cancelled totally. The prior rep cancelled everything. I just hung up, went to the website and re-subscribed to Prime. What a waste of 39 mins!

What does your order from a third party vendor have to do with Prime? Exactly nothing.

Before you place your order it tells you when you will get delivered, whether it be prime or 3p seller. If you want it quick use fulfilled by amazon and Prime. If not you have to wait until it gets there. Also your experience with Prime is not my experience.

When I order Prime I 99% of the time get my delivery on time, and in most cases early.

The few times its been late which was USPS fault not Amazon all you have to do is call and they will give u a free month of prime. Worth it to me!

I ordered two laptop computers for my kids' birthdays. I being a Prime member look forward to the two day shipping. when I asked customer service at amazon can they expedite shipment sooner than estimated date of a week, they said they didn't know until I placed the order. then once placed order, they said oops cant do it for sooner, ha ha! you're a sucker! when I cancelled order because of this, amazon couldn't get my money back to my debit card sooner than 7-10 business days! I called my bank and gave them a verification code to release funds back to my bank, but bank said they need direct phone call with amazon to verify this transaction. amazon's policy is never talk to banks. they will hang up! I asked about a Fax? no! email confirmation? no! bottom line is amazon Prime didn't promise me two day shipping and won't give me back my money any sooner than red tape through snail mail will allow. this all done over the phone with someone whom I can barely understand, and when I did get an eloquent person speaking to me, they were rude! Prime sucks big donkey!

Amazon did process the credit of $119.97 to my account. What's unfortunate with Amazon's activities - it appears to "presume" that potential sellers, somehow, will automatically require their $39.99 Prime Seller Group Services.

I never had any such attention; and I was simply considering selling a few inexpensive items. Instead - I ended up spending over 3 hours with 4 phone call to seller services -- trying to get my 3 monthly $39.99 Amazon charges returned: my lesson : NEVER POST you credit or debit info - UNLESS or UNTIL you are certain that you intend to activate an Amazon service. IF that's a problem, go elsewhere. When I realized that Amazon claimed 15% of the posters total sale price -- the costs discouraged me from pursuing any listings.

AMAZON "should notify an account holder of specific fees; and require a ... "positive response" from the account holder prior to BILLING any seller for a NEW service; WHEN the potential seller has not signed a clear authorization of exact Amazon costs - a DOUBLE VERIFICATION OF CHARGES is a simple setup. As I understand it, its the way the account is set up that determines the beginning of these monthly billings. This is, in my opinion, a dubious practice.

Don't hit me for $39.99 -- when I never knowingly authorized such charges. And - I was shocked by the appearance of these recurring fees - I'd also bet that some people do not even realize that the potential for these recurring charges even exists. AMAZON COULD BE MORE TRANSPARENT.

Even worse - this happened on 2 accounts. CLOSING my Amazon Accounts: PUT A CLOSE OPTION IN PLAIN SIGHT.

I've been waiting for 20+ days for a refund for the identical problem. I have been promised 4 times that a refund would be issued.

I am still waiting. Amazon makes people erroneously billed for Prime 5 business days. The refund never comes; then it's 5 more days; and the refund never comes; and it's 5 more days. They even send email acknowledging the refund; but the refund never comes.

I am waiting on my 4th promise of a refund by Amazon.. And, because of a tight financial position, I had to postpone a cardiologist visit by 3 weeks ...my pacemaker had problems. But Amazon doesn't care. When they keep promising but never deliver -- that qualifies, I think, as a LIE.

It's unfortunate that the absence of management is so evident that no one seems to know how to actually deliver on a promised refund. About 10 days ago, one Amazon rep even gave me a transaction number proving a refund was made. 10 minutes later, she promised that my refund was hit my account in 3 to 5 days. Still, no refund.

I am currently on my 4th promise if a refund - promised via another Amazon email - HOW DO I CALL THE CEO'S OFFICE. DO I ASK FOR someone who knows what they are doing g?

I have had the exact same issue, and their customer service keeps coming up with different excuses. First that it was because package hadn't shipped, then saying 2 day shipping was business days only, then said it was because I didn't use Buy Now with 1 Click button, then finally told me it was because I was trying to get the items shipped to multiple addresses, which was just a lie, I only have one address associated with my account.
