Amazon - No Post Sale Protection or Support

I recently purchased Eheim filter which proved to be defective but I did not discover this until more than 30 days after the purchase. I found the problem when I opened the box which I discovered had already been opened and re-taped shut. After 30 days, Amazon will not acknowledge any issues related to the purchase and the vendor Fat Happy Pets of Nevada does not have any means for making phone contact. Emails to sales are ignored. I have been a major customer of Amazon. I would estimate more than five figures for purchases of products via Prime. I was extremely unhappy that I could contact Amazon to get help. They only allow for contact when it is to their benefit. Provisions making contact for situations where negative outcomes may occur for them do not exist. Needless to say canceled my Primer Membership and I will avoid using Amazon in the future. I find it hard to believe that a "Frequent Flyer" such as myself would get such shabby treatment. When you combine this with the fact that Amazon can be an expensive way to buy things, dumping the Prime membership is probably a less expensive outcome for me. My $261 loss will be offset by making more economic purchases from vendors that have post sale support.

Amazon Prime UK is a scam

Details
Ever since they stopped using Collect+ for delivery, prime is no longer a one-day delivery service. The alternatives provided are not even close to collect+. And the third party delivery providers won't accept timing preferences or calling the customer. And the customer service guys are trained liars. All they talk is pre-templated ***. One *** just said he cancelled my prime membership from renewing next year. And when I check it after an hour in my account - it was still on auto-renewal. The guy I spoke to before him said - he added my delivery preferences to the order which was the biggest LIE of the year as another (Supervisor level *** when asked on the next day) was not an option for that order and he don't see any instructions left for the order by the previous fool.

Yesterday i noticed a charge on my credit card for amazon prime. I have never authorized a payment for prime membership! They did refund my money, but only because it was within the 3 day money back period. I immediately deleted all my cards associated with my Amazon account. They just lost a customer, but we are a dime a dozen.

Amazon - PRIME sign-up

Today while reviewing my credit card bill, I found a charge for $99, supposedly for a "Prime" membership renewal that I had "signed up for" last year. I would never knowingly do such a thing, as I make very few online purchases for exactly this reason. As it turns out, it was "attached" to another "offer", and by the admission of the customer service representative to whom I spoke, is a "mistake" commonly made by customers. Really? If this is a "common mistake" (made by customers, of course!) wouldn't it occur to your company to redesign this website so as the "customer" is no longer making this "common mistake"?? I am disgusted with this sneaky and disingenuous practice that has become so commonplace in today's retail world. Gone are the days when we could purchase exactly what we set out to purchase, and ONLY that item, choose which method of delivery we were willing to pay for, and not have to be concerned with the "hidden" offers, small print "membership" sign-ups, and my all-time favorite - the billing method that will continue to suck money from your credit card until you call and tell them to stop! I'm amazed that this is legal, but of course, it's all right there in the small print! Since I was not born yesterday, I'm more than aware of the logic behind this weasel practice - prey on people's distractions, inferior computer knowledge, and harried, hurried lives that don't leave any time leftover to check every transaction we have entrusted to your care. Congratulations on finding a "legal" way to cheat people out of their money, and then become righteously indignant when you are accused of doing precisely that!!! I am not only disgusted and mistrustful of Amazon, but any company with whom I am forced to do business these days. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Kindly save your breath and your response regarding my "responsibility" to read the legal-ese before unwittingly obligating myself to . . . .. whatever. This is too common in 2015 to be a simple fluke. Even worse, my guess is the demographic most likely to be cheated are the elderly, since they are also the least likely to know how to operate a computer. Here's an idea: before you repeat your behavior, how about buying dinner first???? I was able to get the charges that I consider to be fraudulent removed from my credit card, but I can't help wondering how much money you routinely make from people who haven't had the benefit of being born with a computer in their laps!

Amazon Slower Delivery Times

4.0
Details
I signed up for Prime when it was $79 and was amazed that orders placed as late as 5pm still shipped same-day and arrived 2 days later. Amazon has since increased their Prime fees to $99 and now none of my orders ship same-day; not even those orders placed by noon! I've cancelled my Prime membership today, but I feel people should be aware that purchasing the Prime membership is more like getting a 3-day guaranteed delivery; unless you're an early riser and can place your order at the crack of dawn. However, if you're more like me, an impulse shopper, you'll never get your order in 2 days!

Amazon Prime Not worth it

Seems Amazon Prime's two day shipping is becoming more fable than fact. 3 out of my last 5 orders did not arrive as advetised when order was placed. Some arrive as late as 5 days after order was placed. Of course Amazon does not count weekends so tack on two more days if you made mistake of placing order on a Thursday or Friday. Not only will you not get your item in the advertised two days but now they get sneaky when you choice on item that is Prime eligible, they make you confirm that you want the two day shipping before you can put it in your cart. Save you $99. Its not worth it.

Amazon - Failed Delivery Service

This is what happened to me so far on an Amazon order: 1. 05/08: This order (xxx-xxxxxxx-2001006) is supposed to be delivered on Saturday (05/08). A guaranteed next day delivery service was paid by me but failed by Amazon. I spent my Saturday (8 AM to 6 PM) waiting for this package but there was a no show and no notice from Amazon. 2. 05/08: I spent another hour over the phone with Nickeisha to sort out where my order is and also trying to find out when this can be delivered. 3. 05/08: I put a requested to Nickeisha to have one of your customer support manager to call me at 410-xxx-xxxx on Monday. Instead of the phone call I requested I received an email from Sujith S with an 1 month extension to my Prime membership ($8)? $8 for wasting my Saturday? 4. 05/11: Sujith S wrote me an email and said that the Fedex will deliver my package tonight at 7:30 ( I have email to prove what he said) but then I got an email from Fedex saying they tried to deliver my package at 10:30 AM but no one is home so will try tomorrow. Amazon represent lied to me? 5. 05/11: A manager (April D.) finally called me at 4:30 PM and told me that I cannot have my package tonight and Fedex will deliver it on 05/12. I have to go to Fedex and request a delivery for evening delivery MYSELF or they will try to deliver it at 10 AM again when no one is home. When I logged into Fedex website I found out I have to pay to do that. What???!!! 6. 05/11: Compensation: They can only compensate $80 for my my Saturday all day staying at home and my time on the phone to track my package and my time to write the email to follow up on my order. $80??? The guaranteed delivery service is a great promotion tool but only if you can make sure you, Amazon deliver you promise. If you cannot somehow maybe work on how to make sure your customer are happy with your screw ups. Anyone can tell me how to escalate this to Amazon HQ in Seattle? PS: I have all emails from Amazon customer support team and delivery status screen shots saved for any future reference.

Arbitrarily charged for Amazon Prime Membership on my VISA

I just received my VISA billing and on March 4th there was an entry for $101.47 for a "Amazon Prime Membership" which I never signed up for or ever requested. This might have slipped by me if I had had several charges this month but I had not used this particular credit card so it was the only entry. I kept looking at it wondering what I might have purchased and charged to my VISA and did not recognize (had a lot of family company over the past month so I was somewhat distracted). I immediately contacted Amazon and believe it or not they had a specific category in their "HELP" section to cancel this membership. I canceled the membership and I am to receive a full refund within 2-3 days. I e-mailed Amazon to ask how this charge against my VISA transpired and advised if it was just a mistake, I would continue to use Amazon for orders but if they could not explain it to my satisfaction -- I will never order through Amazon again.
