Difficult to know exactly what happened and/or who is at fault, you or Amazon. The good news is that Amazon will refund the money as their customer service is rather reliable....

I have cancelled my membership because Amazon Prime is $99.00 but then they attach a tax of $6.93 on to it bringing the total cost of membership up to $105.93. This is a recent added charge since I have been a member for a while now and it used to be $99.00 total. This is something cable and phone services do. They advertise their membership as one price but it turns out to be another after all the other charges are included. If Amazon chooses to follow this practice I choose to discontinue my membership.

This week I received a call from my wife on Weds 01/27 that there was a 99 dollar charge from Amazon on our checking account. I called Amazon, explained that I did not order nor did I want Amazon Prime. They were very nice and apologetic and refunded my 99 dollar charge and told me that they changed my account so things like that will never happen again. I go to the bank Friday 01/29 and was told that yes the money was refunded but I had a 36 dollar overdraft fee. Today I call Amazon again and explain that I had a overdraft fee. They asked how much, I told them 36 dollars, they asked me to hold and after a few minutes they once again apologized and said that the 36 dollars would be refunded. I asked them for a fax number so I could send them something from the back showing the overdraft fee and they said "no need, it is already on the way. Once again , we apologize and we appreciate your business. Is there anything else we can do for you???" That , my pissed off consumers is customer service. That got me thinking, did Amazon have a previously have a tougher policy on refunds, or do a lot of people just get on a website and *** and complain instead of picking up a phone and getting it resolved. The way Amazon handled the situation made me happy to do business with them.

Amazon Fresh-You now have to spend $299 to use Amazon Fresh. I use it about four times a year. Who in their right mind would pay $300 a year to have groceries delivered four times? There is no way to opt out. Other grocery delivery places charge $10 per delivery unless you order over a certain amount. I spent 2 1/2 hours navigating their site only to find out at checkout that I had no choice but to cancel the order or sign up get my groceries and cancel. It took me another hour to reach someone as I originally thought due to their advertisement that this was some sort of add-on to Prime Now that allowed you to pick a set # of items you usually have to restock weekly and have it delivered. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was actually more of a delivery fee. I'm already a member of Prime and am growing more discontented with it as the 2 day free shipping is now more often than not ineligible for the items I purchase and the prime video changed their connection so now you have to scroll through all of their movies in no particular order to find something you actually want to watch. There used to be a lot of good shows and movies on it, they've removed a lot of them and you have to rent them now but the B movies and *** no one wants to watch is still on there. Amazon was doing so well for a while. They were anticipating our needs and growing in those areas. I don't know who is in charge of all the Prime stuff but they are seriously screwing it up and I'm about to cancel all of my membership here.

If you want to branch out into service delivery, then you need to make it easy for customers to access your stuff and not get charged a ton of money for it.
