Went to Safeway to see if they would help me with the Amazon Gift Card and was told that since it stated approved Amazon was responsible. They stated that they always check with Amazon and when it is confirmed put approved on the receipt. Back to square one with Amazon.

Had to call 5 times and give all the same information. It was sent to a dept called Escalations and they told me to submit a picture of the card and all the same numbers.

Did this and did not hear back for over a week. Happened to run into the person who had given me the card and she still had the receipt, which she gave me. Emailed Amazon and received an email back saying that they were sorry I was having trouble with my gift card and requested that I submit all the numbers again. Called customer service again and was told that I needed to take it up with Safeway where the card was purchased.

They stated that safeway would then take it up with Amazon.

I guess my time means nothing to Amazon and they were only giving me lip services the 5 times I called before. Will not be doing much business with them in the future.

Reason of review: gift card redeemed by someone else?.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Amazon Cons: Apathy, Run around i got and no help.
