Amazon delays "free shipping" order

It seems to me that Amazon is purposely delaying mailing my order to force me to pay postage next time. Instead, after using them many years, they have lost me as a future customer. I placed two separate orders. One was a restaurant gift card that appeared in their goldbox offers. I ordered the gift card 7 days ago and Amazon has still not mailed it. I also ordered sporting equipment 10 days ago and Amazon has still not placed the item in the mail. I have called to complain, and the only solution they offer is to sign up for a free month of Amazon Prime, cancel my current order, and re-order the item using my Amazon Prime account. Next time I see something I like on Amazon, I will search for it from non-Amazon suppliers. I have found that other sellers place the items in the mail within 24-48 hours, while Amazon took my money right away and hasn't even attempted to mail the items. So sad.

DO NOT BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS. Received a gift card from a friend. Code would not work at time of checkout. After waiting on the phone for over 15 minutes, and being transferred to three separate "Customer Service" representatives, I was told that I would receive a response with 24 - 48 hours from Rarahm who was located in an office in the Philippines. In actuality, response time would be 4 days. DO NOT BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS - MONUMENTAL WASTE OF TIME. REPEAT - DO NOT BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS. I have been a loyal customer of Amazon for years, first experience with using a gift card left MUCH to be desired. Good luck finding someone to resolve your problem in a timely manner.

Amazon in Glasgow, Delaware - Beware of the Prime Billing Fraud

Amazon Prime initial trials turn into fraud and theft. I tried to purchase a membership for my son after the trial expired. I paid $99 for a year's membership for a Prime gift card. Amazon's system would not activate the card even though my payment was processed successfully. I called an *** at Amazon customer service who ended up having my card charged TWICE for services never rendered. I let Wells Fargo deal with it as outright theft and fraud, because the reps at Amazon said they could not correct THEIR error. STAY FAR AWAY FROM AMAZON!!! They are not accountable for their billing errors. I will never do business with those thieves again.

Amazon - Account credit ignored

Had account credit and gift card, checked both boxes to use for order this week. Account credit was not deducted at checkout,called rep and was informed that it would be credited 'at shipping' and 'don't worry, we do this all the time' and 'we know what we're doing'. Waited for shipping notice, received today. NOT CREDITED. Called, and was told Justyne credited it to my credit card, received email verification of same. Few minutes later, received notification email by Rey that after an order is shipped/closed, this is not possible; the email was written to blame me for all of the errors; "we're sorry YOU didn't... credit it before you checked out", etc.. Called again, spoke w/ sprvsr Daniel who first stated that he saw that, indeed, I had checked both boxes for those credits toward this order, and that therefore is was Amazon's error. Then stated that he couldn't put it on the order. Told him I received email that was credited to credit card, he said 'then it is' and just wait the few business days (which will be 1 more week) to see the credit. UNFORTUNATELY, they speak with forked tongues, because Rey's email was sent specifically to negate Justyne's, and they won't admit it, but successfully put me off for another week, and for which I now will have to file a formal complaint with the BBB and other regulatory agencies, and spend yet more valuable time and energy to fix what Amazon screwed up on despite multiple efforts by me to correct it both BEFORE and after the fact.

If the book isn't returned at the end of the 15 day extension, you'll be charged the purchase price (minus any rental fees and/or late charges you've already paid).

Disputing the charge because of this likely will not do much. The credit card company may credit the amount if they feel that is warranted, however given the information above which is available on Amazon, Amazon will likely simply respond back to the credit card company which they have 30 days to do and tell them you were informed if the book was not returned you would be charged and at that point the credit card company will likely replace the charge on the card.

Amazon not making good on a $25 gift card

Last Christmas my wife got a $25 gift card from her daughter-in-law in Arizona, we live in Omaha, Ne. My wife has a Kindle and was going to use the gift card until it stated it was not valid. We called Amazon.com Customer Service and what a joke . They wanted us to scan the GC , which we did and email it. They donot have a valid email address so my wife called back and the rep. stated they will review it again and today, she got an email turning it down and will not make good on the gift card. My wife then called them back today and talked with Chris and told him she is not trying a scam but wants Amazon make it right on this and then he hung up on her. Wow, my wife is pissed and no more bokks, etc. from Amazon. She views them now as low-class and really just doesnot want anyone to call them w/a problem..

you need to have your daughter in law get involved. if she is a good customer of amazon they will correct this.

I mean a person that orders weekly, some one that spends lots of money at amazon can get almost anything I mean money back. they will not fix what is broken but they will give out money freely to those that buy from them often

12-12 and 12-14 AMAZON ORDERS LATE for XMAS

OK, I did not order last minute - I ordered 2 IN-STOCK items way back on 12-12 and 12-14. They were Christmas presents and per Amazon, were to arrive by 12-19-13. One arrived late, on 12-26....and the other one is still MIA, hung up in Forest Park IL per tracking info. Amazon and its sellers should not use the USPS because clearly, they suck. I have not heard anything from Amazon about my complaints and I thought they were compensating unhappy customers with a $20 gift card and shipping reimbursement. I expect Amazon to live up to its delivery promises, especially when they are ordered 2 weeks in advance.

No change. Actually no response either. Didn't even get anything via drones.

Amazon still has this "virtual" $30 sitting somewhere but won't give it to the cusomter to use as a gift.

I sit here letting everyone know how incredibly *** Amazon is. A now-former avid Amazon buyer hasn't purchased anything in 30 days and will not in the future.

Godo customer relations Amazon!

Granted any company this big and amount of retail business is going to have complaints but mine is simple. Yet Jeff Bezos' Executive Team doesn't get (or refuses to get it). Went to Amazon to buy a $398 watch - last one in stock. Clicked on Purchase when Amazon - **Amazon did this** -generated a pop-up: Apply for an Amazon Credit Card and we'll take $30 off this purchase! Don't need another credit card but 30 bucks is 30 bucks, right? Wrong! Well I filled out the app and clicked Submit. I get a Amazon pop-up stating, "Our system is down right now." No $30 off. Well it was the last ("supposedly") watch of its type so I bought it for $398 thinking Amazon will contact me re: the app and give the $30. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zip. I had to contact Amazon. Sure enough I was right, Amazon's site was down right then and they want to make it good. They'll give me $30 credit. Now two months later I still don't see it on my statement. Not so fast, buster. Amazon: "We'll credit your Amazon account with $30." So now a month later I figure I'll use that $30 to buy a Christmas gift for someone who loves Amazon. Not so fast, buster #2. That is $30 promotional money. Promotional money? That means - and they literally fault me for NOT reading the Account Conditions when I bought the watch - I can't use promotional money to get a Gift Card. They totally dismiss my argument: If YOUR system had worked properly I would have paid $368 for the watch not $398 and had $30 CASH in my pocket – period. Amazon Executive Team, i.e., Bezos henchmen, refuse to answer, dismissing my argument and repeatedly tell me I should have read the Conditions Agreement. First and last time I deal with Amazon. Hopefully I'll be able to tell numerous people about this experience. That $30 "promotional money" will sit in Amazon's coffers forever.

well lesson learnt, it shows always read the terms and conditions, surprising the amount of people who don t and then complain. I know this from experience having worked in a bank for many years the customers complain about charges etc which are clearly stated in terms and conditions.

Don t blame a Company for keeping to rules that are set down you have to click to confirm you read terms and conditions so no use crying now. As I say lesson learnt
