Cannot get to Amazon checkout.

3.4
Details
Amazon has gotten too big. No decent service to the customer. They they think they can answer questions by asking you scores of questions that have to application to what you need. I recently spent an hour trying to place an order and could not get to the checkout. It's ridiculous. Do a search to try to get to that icon and you are run around in circles and still no answer. This used to be one of my favorite companies. Now, Amazon is at the bottom of my list. Now I can't express my complaint unless I add enough words to come up to on hundred.

Amazon - Can't reach by phone

Dialed their 800#, spent 15 minutes on their line ,them trying to sell me something, only to be told that's not the right number!!! Amazons customer service sucks!!! I'll stick with the retailers who want my business. And I own a business This review company sucks too. Won't take my review until I enter 100 words, how *** is that. So I'll just keep adding words until I hit the quota. Really a *** poor design, but what do you expect from people who only sit behind a desk? Ops not enough words, so let's continue to talk about the stupidity of the electronic world, of Pissed consumer lol

Amazon - Buy Now Button

1.0
Details
I accidently ordered a room divider with the 'buy now' button, didn't know that it was done. I bought another with my credit card. I got to check out and only one appeared, so I thought that it didn't go through. Three days later I got one than four days more and I got another. I called Amazon and asked how to send it back. I took it back to UPS the same day. I received a bill the next month for the second room divider that was bought with the 'buy now' button and the Amazon store card. I thought that the credit would show up next month, it didn't. The next month same thing, no credit. Three months later I called again to find out what's going on. That's when I find out I have to call the merchant and get the credit from him myself. BUT Amazon already knew it was back 2 months ago because she told me so and gave me the tracking# and the date the merchant signed for it. I did not get credit until the month after that and only part of it because they deducted shipping which shipping wasn't charged going out. By this time there was over $70 in fees and interest. I have tried several times to get Amazon to get rid of the interest and fees for something I sent back the same day, they just ignore me. I tried to get a small bank loan on my signature and the bank told me about Amazon on my credit bureaus, then Amazon turned it over the Portfolio Recovery for collection. I took a look at them on the internet and find out they have a terrible customer complaint history and they have been sued multiply times and had to pay some big awards to their victims because of their credit collection practices! It's on the internet right under the Portfolio Recovery site. I disputed the Amazon claim to them in writing completely. A week later I called them and asked what they thought about the fees and interest and they said it was my mistake and my problem because I ordered it with the 'buy now' button. I contacted a consumer rights agency and asked them what my options were and they said you have to dispute it the credit bureaus and follow it backwards to Amazon because if I didn't it would ruin my credit for at least 7 years and increase things such as insurances and affect my driving record because I am a risk. All because of the 'buy now' button Amazon has ruined my credit and caused me months of grief and now had to hire a consumer agency to clean it all up before it gets any worse because it is a lot more complicated then it use to be to get your credit fixed.

Amazon Sales Tax

4.7
Details
Amazon, why do you charge sales taxes on some items and not on others? I have been buying from you for years and in the future, if you add sales tax, I will find it elsewhere on-line, even if I have to pay more!!! To those who may reply and tell me, "it's the law", "its your duty as an American to pay sales taxes" etc. I say to you, if you can justify yours or my States fraud and waste by its citizens and government employees, that I see and hear daily, I will change my mind and pay sales taxes and never complain about sales taxes again.

Amazon - They failed to honor their own pricing, but did for others randomly

4.1
Details
I ordered an Amazon Kindle because I recently traded mine in so I could order a newer Kindle. When I went to buy it, I found a price that is lower than usual, apparently I later found that it had been a pricing error. I ordered just one Kindle with the lower pricing. After nearly 24 hours and without any notice, my order just disappeared from my order history. I looked around and there are many discussions of people ordering as many as 5 Kindles and having them delivered the same day with Prime Now. We don't live in an area served by Prime Now and I had chosen one day shipping. I am very unhappy that Amazon randomly cancelled my order while many other people were able to buy several. I will be going away from home and had hoped to bring a Kindle to read. I have purchased several hundreds of Kindle books and nearly every version of the Kindle, with the Kindle being my favorite form of recreational reading In an effort to find a way to actually get a Kindle in time before we leave I looked on craigslist and found where many of the extra ordered Kindles have wound up. The listings are full of "new, unopened Kindle PaperWhites" being sold at a profit, while I can't get Amazon to honor the single purchased Kindle that I ordered. I spent over 2 hours trying to remedy the problem both on the phone and through chat, with absolutely no progress.

Amazon - Customer Care Review from Daphne, Alabama

No customer service, buying prime products don't always come in two days and today I wrote a negitive review about a product and they refused to post it. I thought I was going to save money on shipping if I joined Prime, not so. And dealing with Amazon is a headache.

How my private information was obtained by one of Amazon's sellers?

4.0
Details
I had a missing item from a order, and I was scared to receive two calls from China (the seller also left a message). She emailed me, too. Emailing is one thing, but calling is the other for me. How did she obtained my private information? I contacted Amazon's customer service to ask what happened, but Amazon thanked me "for taking time to share [my] thoughts about this issue," and said that my "comments and suggestions" would help improve Amazon. How can Amazon call my questions "comments and suggestions"? I was upset. I asked questions, not provided "comments and suggestions." And, Amazon also said "customer account security is a priority for us and we ensure that the account details of our customer is secure," and "your personal information are safe and are never shared with anyone." I wonder if the customer service actually read my questions? How can Amazon say such things when my private information was used by one of its sellers? I wonder if I am the only one. Have any of you had this kind of experience?
