My Amazon account was hacked for several purchases totaling over $1000 worth of Kyle cosmetics. I refused payment for these charges through my credit card and had my card number changed.

In turn Amazon had placed a hold on my account pending an "investigation", but will remove the hold if I pay the fraud charges with my new credit card - WHAT! I have been an Amazon account holder for over 5 years and I have also paid over $100/yr for prime. I have contacted Amazons customer service over 15 times with the same result, "we'll submit a report to our security dept". With every submission, I get an email repeating the same info, my account is on hold, but I can pay the fraudulent charges to open it.

This has been going on for more than 7 weeks. What's up? I've given them my phone number, but they never call and even suggested they check where the fraudulent orders were sent, but still hear the same old thing. I wish Jeff Bezos could see this!!

What a way for America's #1 company to treat their customers - shameful. Don't know what to do except call every day. Phones are always answered by foreign people with accents that are so unfamiliar that when asked for my address respond by asking me what kind of lane I live on - huh?

I have paid to be penalized by a company that can not properly address a fraud claim and cares little to do so!!!! Bob

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: Unfreeze my account and generously prorate my Prime membership.

All, and I repeat ALL large corporations now have terrible customer service. Amazon is a giant and usually, things go well with them, even though they seem to rely on the USPS for deliveries and ignore it's unreliability.

They may or may not eventually get back to you.

Good luck. Find another online retailer to shop with.
