This company gave me a damage of $600 !!!

I didn't buy used books, but 2 cameras that cost more than $3000. I ordered 2 xt3 Fujifilm cameras, one day delivery to do my business on Wednesday, an order to be fulfilled by Amazon. I had to use these cameras on Friday night, and I didn't get them. I spent my Friday morning talking to representatives and their supervisors. When I called the first representative he sent me an email in the middle of the conversation saying that my item will arrive next Tuesday (almost a week late). During the weekend I had to do shooting. I lost the job and money... On Friday morning they guaranteed me to deliver the item on Saturday. It is Saturday noon, and still the items are not marked as shipped. I spent my Saturday morning talking to representatives who couldn't do anything, but saying sorry. They cannot communicate or send a message to the warehouse, and they can't do anything. I told them, you guys messed me up, send it in 4 hours with a taxi driver, or order it from b&h or Adorama for me, to go and pick it up. My only way of paying for these expensive cameras was to use the Amazon Store Card, which is not accepted at B&H or Adorama. I asked them to call the warehouse and speed them up. The Amazon supervisors couldn't do anything but say that they are sorry. I have a headache... I payed for other accessories from other companies for one day delivery (atomos V recorder for the cameras, cables, batteries) and I got them on time, but I can't use them... because the cameras are the core part. So I payed one-day shipping to them for these accessories, loosing money as I was unable to use them. One of my first use of these cameras will be to make a video, discouraging people from using Amazon services, and I will post it on youtube, Vimeo, social media, on my website, etc...

You need a little bit of savy to be a business person, which you clearly do not have. You can't order anything - one day shipping or not - that you ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE online.

The postal service, couriers, etc. are too unpredictable. Anyone with a brain should know this.

Amazon needs to refund the one-day shipping charge, that is all. Be better prepared and make better decisions.

I have had very similar experiences lately, and God forbid that the package ships with carrier AMZL (because there is no end to greed). NO ACCOUNTABILITY, no real reason why that "guaranteed delivery" date means nothing....the list is endless.

They said that it was most likely stolen

So I purchased a $50 item and it was supposed to be delivered in two days it was marked as delivered to my apartment and I never received it. I chatted with three different Amazon customer service people they told me to wait and the third person told me that if it did not appear that it was most likely stolen. So I am here without my item mad and now waiting five days for my refund. Way to go Amazon!

If it was marked as delivered, then yes, the package was most likely either stolen or put in the wrong mailbox. I kept getting the next door neighbor's Amazon packages dumped in my alleyway, so this kind of thing can happen, which is why I don't order online as much as I used to.

False "Delivered" Notifications

I have had a couple of lost packages from time to time from Amazon, I understand that it happens. BUT, it has become more frequent. What is going on? Customer Service has no honsest answers to my questions, only "possible" excuses. All they do is offer a refund to purchase items again. To the CEO at Amazon, please contract with a carrier service that embodies integrity, and PAY them what they deserve to ensure a happy customer and a successful business.

Delivery problems

Over the last few months delivery problems are almost expected, first ordered a Moto 6 phone waited on a Saturday for delivery first e-mail said delays 2nd that it was lost or damaged received full refund but expected phone to use on Vacation and flying out the next day on Sunday, then recently ordered Over the Air TV antenna saw that same day delivery was available sure why not for an extra $5.99 well that order was delayed received full refund but that's not the point why offer it if the company can't deliver , Today Friday Sept 14, waiting for order of Amazon Echo Spot to be given as a present , sitting in living room and heard a loud bang at the front door well lo and behold the package arrived driver of the white van too lazy to go up 5 stairs and when I asked him just ignored me, done with Amazon Prime and the lousy service

Who actually was supposed to deliver the packages from Amazon? Most are given to a third party carrier like USPS, UPS, etc.

You can find out who is going to deliver it by clicking on the order and tracking information.

It will tell you how/who the deliverer is. You can complain to Amazon about the deliveries by clicking on the order and looking for the relevant buttons concerning the package and your satisfaction, etc.

Hard to say whether Amazon holds orders a week or so before shipping, altho a policy like that doesn't make any sense business-wise. None at all.

However, if Amazon were to treat Prime members and general customers differently like giving preference to Prime members, that would be an acceptable and fair policy. Prime members are paying for two day shipping while the common people are not.

Thus, always give preference to your loyal, paying customers. All in all, seems fair to me.

Free Shipping Penalty

I can understand when you select free shipping Amazon will pick the least expensive shipping method and that it will probably be slow. However, most of the time Amazon does not do their part by getting the order out the door in a timely manner and that to me is being punitive for selecting free shipping. Three to four days before it even leaves the Amazon facility is unacceptable. I will still use Amazon if a product is a lot less expensive but first I will check places like B and H Photo and if the price is close, I will order there instead. B and H's two day shipping on most items offering free shipping is fantastic.

Can't leave honest reviews

Amazon keep rejecting my honest reviews of a particular transaction. In an apparent punitive measure they have restricted my reviewing privileges citing "irregular reviewing activity" as justification for suspending my reviewing privileges. I recently ordered a bundle of 3 shirts on Amazon, but I receive only 1 shirt. I tried to leave an honest review, Amazon keeps rejecting my review citing their "polices" but won't elaborate which policy I am violating. Apparently, I got conned, didn't get what I paid for and Amazon is preventing me from leaving an honest review. They seem to want to protect their suppliers from negative reviews and don't care about their customers getting conned. To cap it off, after trying a few times with various wordings to leave an honest review, my reviewing prejudges have been suspended as Amazon for "irregular reviewing activities" as Amazon doesn't want me posting honest reviews if they hurt their business associates. I but a lot of stuff online using various sites (Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Souq), I think online commerce is the way of the future and customer reviews are an essential part of online commerce. I always try to give useful reviews which reflect my personal experience.

This doesn’t happen because of review content. A computer makes the decision based on contact with seller directly before a review and deleting edited reposting reviews.

Same happened to me! I called and reported it and they filed a complaint with review board, then I got an automated response from the review board stating they carefully reviewed my account and found I was in violation. Well it was obvious to me that was b.s. and this was a form letter so I replied to it stating: clearly you did NOT carefully review my account because if you had you would see I was innocent and restored my account!!!

About 7 days later they replied saying my reviews and privileges were restored. I replied directing them to this site and letting them know this was a huge problem and not isolated.

So don’t give up! You have to complain at least twice before a human gets involved.

Any criticism of Amazon being rejected

Wrote a review of a movie which had a 5-star rating. It was a terrible moronic negative 1-star movie. There are thousands of crap 1-star movies with 3-5 star ratings. So people end up wasting time watching the first 5 minutes only to find out the ratings are lies. I wrote a review of the movie and added a complaint that Amazon allows this type of activity and does nothing about it. They rejected my review because I did not stick to the subject matter. Which means no negative reviews of Amazon. You cannot say anything in the reviews that is critical of Amazon. Tried a couple of times. I've been a Prime member for around 8 years. Not much longer.

Fewer things shipped

i have no trouble with the time it takes to ship to Anchorage Alaska (one of the biggest shipping hubs in the country) but fewer and fewer of the items I like to order are being offered for free delivery. I was ordering fever tree drink mixers such as Ginger beer and now none of them will ship to Alaska, the dog food I order nature's recipe, fewer of the items are being offered for free shipping to Alaska.
