All this does is save Amazon money by suckering you into accepting delayed shipping for a $5 credit. When you attempt to use the credit with the Amazon Pantry, Amazon slaps on extra shipping charges which makes the offer absolutely useless.

In fact, it may even penalize you! Check it out, compare both ways. Unfortunately, this is the first time I've experienced Amazon using a cheap *** like this. Too bad, because even Amazon can stumble and others will slip into the space.

Personally, I will no longer automatically assume that Amazon has a good price and begin shopping at other sites and compare the true, out-the-door delivered cost.

Ultimately, this is good for the consumer. Perhaps Amazon has become a little too big?
