Never buy textbooks from Amazon

Amzon and its supplier are deliberately holding back shipments to force customers to buy more expensive shipping options. and when you buy textbooks that are required by school start, you can get stuck paying them more money for a delayed delivery. esp. because of their sneaky business practices. On their website they say their super saver shipping takes 5 to 10 business days, but they dont event ship for 10 days, and then it takes 5 more days in shipping to reach you thus taking as much as 3 to 4 weeks before you get your textbooks. and the worse thing is the "other" sellers on Amazon are taking their cue from Amazon and doing the same thing.

Amazon Doesn't deliver or refund

I made a few purchases on Amazon, the estimated date of delivery just happened to be on my day off. Unfortunately they didn't make it on that day, which is fine because it is just an estimate. They came on a day that i was at work so I missed the package. It was one I had to sign for, they left a note saying i could sign the back and they would just leave it, or they would come back another day. I couldn't sign the back because my neighbors steal my mail. eventually they got sent back to the seller. I called amazon and asked them what the next step was, they said since i never got my package i would get the money refunded, again this sounded fine to me. Unfortunately it has be 4 month and no refund. No package, no refund. So basically i just gave them money. Every time i call i get the same answer, they will put the money on my card. But when? isn't 4 months enough time?

Amazon Kindle Turned To Amazon ***

I purchased TWO Amazon Kindle readers 1 1/2 ago. They have been well kept, not exposed to water, heat etc. And have been in Kindle covers since we purchased them. Two months ago Kindle1 developed screen display problems that rendered it useless. Two months later the second Kindle developed the same problems. making both units useless. I contacted Amazon (Costa Rica) and was advised it was pretty much my problem. After a calendar year no warranty , no service. But they would be happy to sell me new ones at a discount price (10.00 USD off) I advised that I had researched this matter and it appears that this is a common problem with the Kindle. Also, I may even believe that this was an isolated incident but having two Kindles purchased at the same time go bad within 2 months of each other REEKS of an inferior product. I just want them to do whats right and replace a defective product.

Slow and disorganized

I ordered a book from amzon and i checked the tracking and it had said that the book is in the state. The book is in a town 30 min away from my town. It doesn't take 5 hours to get the book from a town that is 30 min away. I need the book for a class and it stilled haven't arrived yet and I have already missed a couple of hw because of the book not arriving sooner. A fedex truck went to another house and delivered their package and not my package, they should deliver all the packages on time.

Kindle stopped working and Amazon will not replace

My Kindle stopped working when just outside warranty and Amazon will not repair or replace the device at no charge. They are offering that I can buy a replacement at a slightly reduced price. Talking with customer service now and have been escalated twice. Seems like a big waste to turn off a loyal Amazon customer for more than 14 years who would have continued buying from Amazon forever. This company claims to be a credible player in the electronics industry but has no idea how to stand behind the quality of their merchandise. When I've had similar problems with Apple products there was no issue at all.

Cannot speak with a person.

Wanted to place an order for items listed on my grandchildren's "Wish List". So many so-called pop-ups came up that I couldn't get past the first item I was buying. What IDIOTS! I wanted to buy multiple items on the list, but the *** on the screen wouldn't let me get back to the original order screen. Tried to get through to Customer Service (after multiple attempts) but got a useless person from who knows where who couldn't answer any questions. No help. Greed takes over. I will NEVER use Amazon again. Many other sources for buying what I want. ***, greedy, and I am in high-end sales, NEVER contacted me. Watch out, Amazon, competitors are lurking in the wings (especially not USA based). Complancy is not good in this compettive environment. Bye-Bye to you.

Sorry, Amazon also has a "call me right now" feature, so how is it that you can't talk to a person? Amazon generally has awesome customer service (IMO) and a very user-friendly website.

This complaint puzzles me.

Don't get too upset, I'd hate for the Federal Govt to come and punish me. :)

Amazon's Fulfillment Center did not fulfill ANYTHING!

I ordered my Macbook Air on July 24 and they promised to deliver it by Aug7. Then they made me cancel and reorder my items again so that I would get it by Aug 13. Then they postponed it to Aug 13, Then aug 17! And finally Aug 20! I've complained so many times and chatted with several agents PROMISING me they would deliver. I am from the Philippines and I wanted it shipped before my uncle left LAX so that he could bring it home with him to Manila. But now, the shipment will arrive too late. I don't understand why they couldn't ship it when #1. The items are available #2. I chose One day shipping!!!

Magellen GPS Defective

Last month I purchased a new Magellen Roadmate GPS model 9055 through Amazon.com. The bluetooth function was set up an operated properly until this morning. It failed to operate this morning. Their technical service dept (outsourced to Ambergris Solutions in Banlore) waste more than 10 hours of my time until they finally promised to replace the unit. We have a fleet of vehicles equiped with Magellen GPS Units. Our next unit will be a Garmin. Garmin has never failed us. When we have sought technical support it was recieved in less than 10 minutes not 10 hours. I still have several hoops to jump through before I recieve a new unit. By then I should be well versed on a new Garmin.

AMAZON IS WORSE THAN EBAY!!

First of all my seller account was supended for 2 negative complaints. Before I knew I had to use delivery confirmations, people were saying they didn't get items ordered. Naturally I offered a refund or if I had another, another item. Well the two wanted refunds. (of course) I sent out a cd which was in perfect condition except for disc one which was mentioned in my description, and when customer complained I told him to send it back. He left negative feedback that item was broken and cases were broken and cd's were all scratched. What I recieved back from customer is not what I sent out. So now I am stuck with his crummy cds while he has my cds, he left neg feedback (just to cover his ***), and now I am out money and these worthless cd's. This is worse than ebay. I guess since they came up with these prepaid Visa and Mastercard cards the quaility of the customer has really gone down hill. Of course Amazon sides with them and they can keep their crummy sellers account. I refuse to make anymore money for them.

Amazon/marketplace (TIMELESS SKIN CARE)

Don't ever give your credit card number via Amazon.com to a marketplace seller by the name of TIMELESS SKIN CARE, they steal money from your credit card, don't send the products advertised, send the customer a fake usps tracking number, forget contacting amazon.com, amazon will not backup the products advertised or customer service supposed to be sold by TIMELESS SKIN CARE, not even a city, state or phone number to contact them directly, I attempted to write a review describing the entire situation and amazon.com deleted it, I have shopped with amazon directly for many years, I have been so disapponted that they wouldn't accept a complaint about TIMLESSLESS SKIN CARE or file a dispute to get my money back after verifying a false usps tracking number and the fact I never received the product paid for on my credit card.

I ordered four items from TImeless via Amazon before Christmas. Their tracking number ( USPS) said one box sent with the four items I ordered.

One box arrived- with two items, one the much smaller ( 2 oz) version of the 8 oz version I ordered. Two items were completely missing.

Emailed them and so far no help. Also contacted my credit card to file a complaint.

You've posted a similar complaint under the name 'sunny3818' on our Hyaluronic Acid Pure 2 oz page both in the discussion forum at the bottom and product review.

Let's compare both:

1) You state here that we charge your card and don't ship the product. Yet you were able to leave two product reviews stating how horrible the product was for your skin? Contradiction.

2)You state here there is no tracking number and we ship out without tracking, yet on Amazon you claim we sent a tracking number, albeit a false one. Contradiction.

3)As 3rd party sellers on Amazon, we are graded on precisely the things you complain of:

Amazon.com beware of shady shipping scam

Amazon.com will post a shipping date that will not be met, nor will they even attempt to be close to that date. We purchased stuff for our daughter on their site July 29th and figured it would be fast to get than going into a larger city near us. Their site deceitfully showed an arrival date of Aug 2nd when purchasing. Well That was updated by email on Aug 2nd that that was the DAY IT SHIPPED OUT ON, not the day of arrival. Holycrappe! Now we get an update that it will arrive on Aug 7th. WE;ll excited daughter wants to know when it is coming and now I have to break the news that it will now be the 9th. FOR A PACKAGE from Indiana to South Carolina takes 4 days to put into a box to ship out/ How pathetic is their service? America has gone down the toilet and people accept it. I am not one of those people. I paid for a product and expect service. Amazon failed me, they failed my daughter and they have lost my business.

Sent me leaking ink cartridges.

I tried to tell them that the cartridges were leaking when received, but they wouldn't send a return label because they wanted me to just send back the ones that were leaking. I didn't want to go inside the bag again to check them out, so I told them I wanted to return the whole package instead. Won't do business with them anymore. Talked to Amazon but they didn't help so I won't buy from them again, guess it's best to pay full price and go to the store. I'm tired of messing with them....
