Amazon's once-vaunted two day shipping is fast becoming a joke. The reason seems to be the methods they now use, in order to cut costs, to deliver your packages.

They may send a package FedEx but FedEx will send it out via their "Smart Post" which means it is delivered to the local post office who then delivers it, maybe the same day or often not. Or, the post office will deliver your package to some stranger somewhere down the street but claim it was delivered(to you).

All in all, the best thing to do is not rely on Amazon's two day delivery claim and also start shopping online at places that don't use unreliable delivery methods like FedEx Smart Post. I believe UPS may have started something like that, but I haven't see it personally.

I live in Memphis and this just happened to me today. The package was supposed to be delivered on the 6th no less.

What's even more funny about this is I was in my kitchen and saw the van do a circle in my cul-de-sac then leave. They literally drove down my street to make it appear like they tried to deliver then said I wasn't home. Earlier this week they decided it was OK to drop my and my neighbors' packages on the ground at the street because apparently delivering them to our houses is an inconvenience. It's not like there's an issue with packages being stolen nowadays or anything and leaving them on the street doesn't make it that much easier for package thieves...

I'm giving Amazon one more chance to make this right and then I'm canceling Prime after 5 years as a customer. Plenty of other retailers have two day shipping and only use FedEx or UPS whom I've never had an issue with.

Amazon - Verification of an old/expired card

I am making attempts along with the option of resetting password. The problem 'occurs' when the REQUEST for verification of an expiration date of an old credit card ....9787 no longer active and destroyed is being asked. I DO NOT have this old expired information. In addition, your customer service representatives have transferred me over to a number of departments of error to only be transferred elsewhere, resulting in NO assistance. I am calling back yet again at 11:00pm and I am currently sitting on HOLD for almost 13 minutes with no assistance- he keeps picking up the line and placing it back on hold. Amazon blocked my reviews for being too nice.

As with others, I was blocked without even being told exactly what I had done. I have not written any bad reviews because I got some really good items. I got the standard we have found you guilty without a trial or even being told exactly what I did. Really! You don't get to speak to anyone and you can not fight it. I am going to look for another company to order things from. I do not need to help this kind of company profit.

Amazon's arbitrary refusal to publish my review

Yesterday, 12/05/2018, I wrote a vewry positive review on Amazon about a very pretty rug I had ordered. Amazon refuses to publish this review, and the customer service reps I've contacted have told me they're not allowed to say why this is happening. I only review a product once a month, and I always follow the guidelines. I don't understand why Amazon is doing this.

No help with charges; no way to critique amazon inc

I started out just trying to find what two Prime video charges were on my CC. There just was no way to do it using drop downs or search. I called and spoke with a Amazon customer service person and they directed me but there was no info available. Why is it so hard to identify video rental charge's? After 45 furstrating minutes I decided to critique the obtuse effort and let the company know. Unbelievably, Amazon will only let you comment on a product experience. There are no options to say anything about your Amazon Inc experience! I assume they just do not want to know or think they can do no wrong (or good).

I have been a Prime member for years however, there has been a remarkable decline over the past several months. Guarantee ship dates of two days.

The catch is my item will be in limbo and untraceable for days and sometimes weeks before it ships! Today, I asked what was going on and was told they guarantee shipment in two days once shipped. I cancelled Prime today.

Price was raised and customer service got worse. I guess they are another SEARS.

The problem with Amazon lately is that much of their packages are now ultimately delivered by the USPS, even tho they start out with FedEx, etc. The packages are bulk delivered to the post office who then takes their sweet time to deliver.

Why a good company like Amazon would allow this nonsense to happen to their orders is a mystery.

Unless, they really don't care. Perhaps ordering from a company that has FedEx or others deliver to your door is the solution.

AMAZON PRIME HAS BECOME A TOTAL MARKETING SCHEME RIP-OFF! We only bought it originally for "free shipping/free returns".

Now Bezos is raising the price of PRIME and taking away most of those benefits, the reasons most of us went with PRIME in the first place. Bezos is nothing more than an older Mark "FACEBOOK" Zuckerberg! If you're still using PRIME, READ EVERYTHING CLOSELY!!! Every product has it's own deal, whether PRIME or not!!!!

I have never had any issues with my deliveries from Amazon. the only way to get 'Guaranteed delivery" is to go to the store and buy an item in person.

When it comes to shipping, last minute, near the holiday's, you risk the chance of not getting an item on time, b/c people that work at the warehouses are human, and the delivery companies, they are human as well. quit being so entitled, when all you have to do is walk out your front door.

there is a whole world that has stores you can actually walk into and buy an item and know it will be given as a gift on time. Merry Christmas Scrooge!

Amazon - Reckless Service

Hi There, I made an order in Amazon ,order no: 408-8209322-4837110 which should be delivered on 19/11/2018. I received a message on 19th from Amazon that says my order is delivered but it's not delivered yet and courier people are not answering for my calls. Few times they responded and courier boy told me to remind him later to deliver but he just left the home town with the parcel. People trust Amazon very much but they are bluffing the customers before they deliver and they are very careless with customer orders. Courier people are quiet unprofessional.They haven't responded to me even after i submitted feedback to Amazon, so they don't care a customer.

Amazon - Not Honoring Sales

On 11/25/18, I ordered the Ring Video Doorbell/Echo DOT 3rd Gen for $139.00 and I received the order confirmation. I use my gmail account only for Amazon Orders so there wasn't a need to go to my gmail account. On 11/26/18, I logged in Amazon account to see the status of the order and the 11/25/18 order had been cancelled. Therefore, I reorder the same items plus another item (Echo Spot) because it was on sale. I ordered the items again only to be cancelled again so I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor proceeded to read a cancellation email they sent but I did not check until Amazon mentioned to me. They told me I was l lied about cancelling the order. It does not make sense that I would order the items then cancel them each time. Amazon basically, told me I lied about cancelling the orders. I called the customer service later only to find out they had issue with Amazon.com Sat – Cyber Monday. Amazon must have sold as many of the items so any customer after would have the difficulty I'm having now. I spoke to Brain at Amazon which repeated verbatim his co-worker told without reviewing the account. I was told I wasn't very professional and told to basically shut up and listen. He says I'll review the account but will not price match. I told him I did not want a price match that I wanted the price I placed the order for. Brian interrupted to ask is there anything else and hung up. I Later called customer service and was told there were issues with the website during Black Friday thru Cyber Monday. I feel the issue was to keep too many customers get that low price for expensive items.

LOL... I love the people who want to speak to the "supervisor." You people think they're a magic person who will override the computer/policy for you.

Of course these people are going to tell you the same thing verbatim, that's the ruling and your insipid whining won't change that. Who knows why they cancelled the order, perhaps the seller was taking a bath on the price or ran out of product to sell.

At the end of the day, you are entitled to deek. Great on them for shutting your silly pie hole and hanging up in your face.
