I recently also bought gift vouchers and cashed them in to make purchases. The numbers were all accepted as were the purchase orders, but later all trace disappeared and I never received anything.

Contacting Amazon.com on this was a nightmare. I probably need to drive myself to India or Bangladesh into that call center to solve the problem.

One thing is certain, I will never buy on amazon again and recommended to my friends and acquaintances not to do so either.

Amazon - WoWont Accept Gift Card and Worst Customer Service

I have tried at least 7 times to purchase a kindle cover – each time the order goes through then i immediateley get an email saying the details i put in don't match the banks (for my credit card). The really frustrating thing is the first couple of times were with my credit card – and no luck (I did contact my bank to ensure everything was good on their end) – so i thought, ok, I'll buy a prepaid credit card (amazon specifically states they accept them) – still no luck (especially ***, since as a prepaid card, the bank doesnt actually have my details) And now I managed to get a hold of a amazon giftcard – they accept it and my balance is waiting to be used (or so i thought). But I get the exact same email!....... I have tried each time to contact amazon for help with this – most of the time they don't reply (which leaves you locked out of your account and needing to set up a new one) – and when they do reply, they don't ever fix that order, they just unlock your account and say to try again, which leaves you in the same circle of frustration!. At this point i just want to use the giftcard balance, because there is no way in *** i am ever going near them after that. I've sent many emails about them not accepting the giftcard balance with no reply. I am definitely pissed! (and down a lot of money)

I don't have an answer for you, but I have used Amazon.com for many years now and really like it. It is easy to use, all their merchandise is delivered promptly and in good shape.

However, I have never had a problem with them, either.

I suspect they are like Netflix----they give wonderful service at a good price, but when something goes wrong, you play *** trying to talk to a real person who can solve your problem. It sounds like you have something that causes a "glitch" when ordering, but only Amazon.com can tell you what. The fact that this happens whether you use your own card or a prepaid one is suspicious and would indicate it is not the card(s) themselves that is causing the problem. If you cannot get thru to a real person, I too would never use them again, either.

Amazon - No directions.....

I recently purchased a Cone Shaped air breather kit. Chrone covers and good quality finish. Heres the rub. In the sales they say that they do not include instructions for instalation. Ok it must be pretty simpe to install, Therefore no need for instructions. I have a v-twin(M109R) so there's not a lot of pluming there. The problem is suporting these fairly heavy steel parts. I have been building custom bikes since 1999. I have turned out 27 bike of every kind. The problem is not can I build support brackes to mount. It's simply they fact that they include several little brace type parts and about 16 screws 2 of which will fit nothing. I just supicous why no name on the parts and no contact information included in the kit....... no name on anything...... Whats type of products is Amazon selling?

Amazon's "Treasures Christian Books" jacks up retail price over 4X

Treasures Christian Books - hosted by Amazon.com 2745 Chicory Rd. Racine, WI 53403 Amazon.com seller "Treasures Christian Books" charged me $55 for a CD set. You can't make it out on the Web, but the set is clearly marked with a retail price of $12.99--so this Amazon store charged OVER FOUR TIMES the retail price. I thought the seller made a simple mistake, so I contacted the seller and they told me "The price was clearly marked on the Internet and you did not have to purchase the item." They also refused to accept a return and refund my purchase price. This is a CHRISTIAN Amazon bookstore--so I guess this "Christian" seller (and perhaps Amazon) considers it more important to deceive buyers and make higher profits, than to follow Christian principles (like honesty). I'm also VERY disappointed that Amazon would host a seller like this. If I ran Amazon I would immediately terminate any agreement with a seller who PURPOSELY misrepresented products. But of course the Almighty Dollar reigns and Amazon did nothing...

Amazon is no help with escrow

Amazon escrow is to guarantee a good deal when purching a high ticket item. Well folks they suck. I got scamed with Amazon Escrow for $23,000.00 and they won't even asnwer my phone or emails. Amazon Escrow is a scam do not use this so called service. When asked to wire transfer money to them with the Amazon logo and official looking paperwork don't do it. I am in hope my police department bunco division can follow up on this and help me get some of my money back. Do not use Amazon Escrow they are not honest.

Amazon - You declined a purchase I made on the internet when I know I had the funds on it.

I tried to download some music from Amazon Mp3 and my purchase failed. I know I put enough money on the account for a 99c order. You need to fix this. My name is Tammie Granger and I just loaded that card. I don't know if I trust you guys to load more. You had better not screw me over. You want to approve my purchase immediately if not sooner.I can't even see where to check my balance and transaction history. Does this site even work. I know I had $10.00 left on that card. Why can't I purchase a dand 99c song with it.

Amazon - Can't stop emails. Fear fraudulent charges.

I signed up for a trial subscription to "newsletters" and a "free" $4.95 book (Aftershock) which I never received. I called by phone and was told my email would be deleted and my trial subsctiption would be cancelled, I selected "cancel subscription" on all emails, and emailed customer service twice. All to no avail. I recieve emails every day and am still choosing "cancel subscription". No luck yet. I fear that now that they have my credit card I will have to cancel my credit card because of fraudulent charges. I have not been charged for subscriptions yet. The book, "Aftershock", which I purchased on Amazon, had some good insights and valuable advice. I recommend the book, but, whatever you do, don't sign up for a "free" "introductory" subscription to gobs of "newsletters" that just won't stop and are laced with mostly psychotic drivel about the second coming, why the president is the anti-christ, how to cure cancer with magic brews, etc. ad nauseum. I don't open the newsletters, but the cover page reveals the deranged content.

Dishonesty at Amazon.com

I placed an order at Amazon.com. They have a program called Reward Points that is tied to their Amazon Credit Cards through Chase Bank. I intended to use the remaining reward points and then charge the remaining balance to the Amazon credit card. If I didn't use the points, I would have selected a different form of payment all together. Well, instead of following my payment instructions, their system threw out the points and charged the whole amount to the Amazon card. I became aware of this through an email I received from Amazon. I immediately contacted their online live chat customer service (I saved this conversation), and the person assured me that there was no problem. Repeatedly the individual misled me, saying that I did not need to cancel the transaction and that the points were used. As I thought, the transaction left out the points. If, as the customer, I knew that there was a problem from the information I had received from Amazon, then the representative knew as well, for their records included the same information I had. I was lied to and misled by this online representative for some unknown reason. All I can assume is that Amazon intends to cheat people with the Reward Point program. And, I should add, that the customer service department, following my complaint, offered me a $5 credit and the right to return and repurchase the item. They do not understand the problem! It is about dishonesty in their employees, and they do not seem to comprehend that it has wasted hours of my time, not to mention their resources because they are paying for the shipping as well as paying the payroll of the employees involved in this issue. The moral of this is that Amazon appears to be cheating people with their Reward Points program, and that they value their dishonest employees over their customers. I suggested that they give the $5 credit to the representative who lied to me because the company obviously values them more than the people who buy their products. I intend to avoid using Amazon and to warn others of their underhanded method of doing business.

Amazon and Fedex

Well, here I go again with Amazon.com. I broke down and started ordering from them again. Well, I didn't do the Free shipping but paid. I have been tracking my package and again when the regular mail gets it to Denver, it got there on Sept 2. Transferred to FedEx Smart Post on Sept 2, then left there here it is Sept 6 and no package yet. It will eventually be delivered to the Post office here which is a mile from the FedEx building. That will take two or three days. Denver is 130 miles from my house. A wagon train could make it in less time. Jeff Bezos needs to stop trying to launch failed rockets and investigate this kind of inefficiency. I don't even know why the postal service even needs to have FedEX at all. That must be why the Postal Service is 9 billion dollars in debt for just this one year. Don't get me started on the P.O. system. By the way...I saw where FedEx is raising the prices. Rewarding inefficiency. That's the American way.

Amazon - Beware of AVYDEN!!

Beware of AVYDEN (and Zalapini!). Both sell counterfeit (fake) products, especially for Canon as battery grip, camera batteries! When pointed AVYDEN provide fake product, the answer was: "I don;t understand what do you mean the Canon BG-E6 Battery Grip isn't original? All our battery Grip are in retail packaging…" Please, take a look what I've got from AVYDEN: http://photographian.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=canon&thread=1009&page=1 Fortunately I got money back, but not full postage. Amazingly AVYDEN fussed more about a few dollar than the fact that they provide fake products to the end consumer, which is a criminal act! AVYDEN is absolute not be trusted.

Just checked my bank account today to discover that a payment was taken for amazon prime of £79.I was furious, went on amazon website for details to contact them to complain .I never even signed up for the service nor did i make the mistake of clicking for the free trial as my partner has and was charged some years ago , so always cautious when purchasing. WHAT a bunch of corporate theiving bastards !

I don't have much money in my account and it could have caused me to be overdrawn then another bunch of corporate theiving bastards would be charging me again.

I now have been told that I have to wait between 5 and 7 working days for refund, duck that's funny it take them that long to get there hands on it. Phrrrrrr

We actually did indeed ship out a book with a corroded battery. It was an accident or oversight on our part.

However as soon as we found out, we worked close with this customer to remedy the situation by offering a full refund. She even got to kept the book.

Amazon - Bad software to foster site dependence

Amazon.com. At one time I recommended this site to anyone shopping. Now I would not recommend this site to my enemies. Amazon.com has corrupted their MP3 downloader so that you will get so frustrated that you will save your songs to their new Cloud Player. When you run out of space, you will have to buy more space. Customer service reps will not help with download problems because if you get what you want their is no incentive to use Cloud Player. They push you to use Cloud Player when their is a problem and these days their is always a problem. They made me so mad that I cancelled a big order. In retaliation, customer service cancelled the order but did not notify the bank of the cancellation, so 3 days later the bank is still holding the money waiting for amazon.com to claim it. When contacted the reps had no idea of what the problem was. Amazon was once my online shopping site of choice, they have now earned a place on my *** List. Companies on my *** List do not get any of my business, even if they have the best price and are the only site selling the item I want. Thanks amazon for jerking me around. In the coming months I will have saved a lot of money that would have been spent on your site.

I dislike Amazon's requirment to install their downloader software to buy an album.

To download 12 songs directly onto my MP3 player one at a time would cost $3 more than the album, so I installed their downloader, got the album, then immediately un-installed the downloader and cleaned my registry and file system of all its left-overs.

I avoided the "cloud" entirely.

I have had a similer experience with LaserShip in my area (NoVa), I ordered a book, a textbook in fact, a fairly expensive textbook, from Amazon and it was delevered by this LaserShip company, I ordered it with my free 2 day shipping expecting to get it on the third day (as is usual with 2-day amazon shipping), well on the third day it was no where to be found, ate dinner, still nothing, 8pm came and went, nothing, then as I was going to bed I happened to look out front and what do I see but a book shaped box sitting on the grass in the middle of the front yard! oh, and it rainied that night....

I called LaserShip and they told me that it was delevered around noon, and that their employees are to ring the doorbell and are not ever supposed to leave a package in the yard (DUH!). I called Amazon and the rep on the phone told me that they have had many complaints about this shipper in the past and that they were reevaluating thier shipping Carriers.

Well a year later I order a (very expensive) Phone and guess who is shipping it.... we will see if they do any better this time...
