My Kindle device isn't able to charge anymore. Online it says that Amazon is replacing these devices.

The customer service person I spoke with said I was out of warranty and all devices have this problem--not just Kindles. That is an outright lie. I would normally have bought the reduced rate Kindle, but after having the customer service rep.

lie, I have dropped Prime, Prime Unlimited, will not purchase another item from Amazon, and will completely drop Amazon when my Prime membership ends in February. I will probably go to Google.

Same thing happened to me. The package arrived in Hebron Ky a half hour from where i live , sat there for 3 days , then shipped to Grove City Ohio 2 hours away from my house .The next step is they are going to drive all the way from Columbus to Cincinnati with the package and drop it off at the U.S Post Office and have USPS finish the last leg of delivery.

Next time I'll pay the extra few dollars and use USPS or UPS to avoid these bozos. The thing is when you select standard shipping for anything ordered from Amazon they don't tell which carrier they will use.

Harleys International of UK at amazon.com

I ordered a PC game called "Shogun 2" from this seller via Amazon.com on December 6th which was plenty of time to have had it for my son by Christmas. As it got closer to Christmas I began to worry because I had not received my order. That's when I was told that it was shipped without any tracking from the UK. Now think about it, anybody selling products on the Internet has to have a clue that this close to Christmas people must be ordering as gifts and want their order by Christmas. It is totally irresponsible to ship using the slowest possible method, without any tracking knowing this to be the case. So much for Amazon.com and their "free shipping" and making sure sellers that go through them are responsible sellers. It is January 10th now and I still have not received my order. One reply from Harleys International of UK was on 12/29 when they said if I had not received my order by the end of the week they would refund. I have tried three times to contact them for my refund and today I received an email saying "it could take up to 25 days to receive my order." HELLO! Do the math! It has been more than 25 days and besides you told me on the 29th that you would refund if I had not received my order by the end of that week. Do the right thing and quit dragging this out! I would never buy from this seller! I hope I can save someone the trouble.

I too purchased from this company. I placed my order 11/25 and received a letter of shipment confirmation on 11/26.

Although they put a delivery est of 12/22-1/6, I assumed I would get my product by Christmas.

It is 1/13 and I am still waiting. :(

Paid $40 for 2 day shipping, Amazon sends wrong item. Reship takes 10 days.

My mothers home was burglarized last week. Two days ago an emergency came up and she needed to go out of town for 1-2 weeks. She was understandably scared of leaving the home unattended. I told her not to worry, I would buy her a security system on Amazon and have it shipped in 2 days (which cost me an extra $40. Which is OK, I was paying for convenience.) She received it today, on time, as promised - BUT THEY HAD SHIPPED THE WRONG ITEM!! I hurried to re-order the item only to find 1) Amazon was out of stock and the 3rd party reseller was charging $30 more than I initially paid and 2) Their 2 day shipping would cost $194!! (that is not a typo. 194 dollars.) I had no choice but to get standard shipping and now the item she should have received TODAY will arrive in 10 DAYS and cost me $30 more. Their customer service is a JOKE. I was offered a $30 credit - Gee, thanks. That isn't even going to cover the gas I'll need to drive the 6 hours to her house to receive and install this thing. They just lost a long time customer.

Amazon - Multiple Closed Accounts

Amazon closed my seller account and my wife's account. The only reason they would give is that our last name is the same???? Imagine that, what *** We have been faithful Amazon customers for many years and out of the blue our account was closed and all pending sales suspended. This ridiculous practice has to be somehow investigated as every company will give you at least a reason why an account is being closed/changed/augmented. You may not agree with their practice but you'll at least know what is happening. How is Amazon allowed to get away with this BS by simply stating that they don't divulge customer information to the exact customer who's account has been suspend? We as consumers should demand better service than that!

Amazon not adhering to published return policy

I received a gift for Christmas that was ordered through Amazon and it wasn't what I wanted. When I tried to return it (unopened and unused) they want to charge a ridiculus restocking fee. Stores don't treat me this way!!! This goes against the Amazon return policy which states: Returns Policy Overview: You may return new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original product packaging. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Just visit our online Returns Center, and we will guide you through the process and even supply you with a return mailing label you can print out. DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON if they don't abide by their own policy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read the website policies more thoroughly before you begin whining you ***. You're not buying directly from Amazon when you use their site.

You're buying from a third party vendor/seller on their site. Each seller has their own return policy.

Amazon closed my account and won't discuss

I have been an Amazon Prime member and loyal customer for years. I haven't returned too many items, have never violated one of their policies so I was a little confused when I received an e-mail from Amazon saying "This message is to inform you that we have closed your Amazon.com account. We have taken this action because we found this account to be related to previously closed accounts. In addition, all open orders have been cancelled. We are unable to discuss other accounts with you but please contact us should you have any other questions; we'd be glad to assist you. Sincerely, Account Specialist I have written them 3 times regarding this issue, advised that I do not have a related, closed account and they send me the same e-mail in response. Why would they do this and not explain why?

:( I ordered a card reader for my Computer for 14.95 USD..Got it fine, then a month later my account is charge 79 USD for a reoccuring charge for Amazon Prime...never heard of it, never used Amazon before...It took my account into the negitive.. After having to search for means to contact these people by phone, I was told I checked for a fre trial of Prime and was charge 79 USD after a month.

Poor practice when They have a line automaticly checked..I would never agree to something like this....but I was told I will get my money back..got emails confirming it..so if they don't I also have a great attorny.

I have the same issue...Amazon has a serious problem with their shipping department, since they do not adequately package items to ensure that they arrive undamaged. For example, they just throw DVD's in a box with very little if any packing material and ship them via regular US Mail.

They are surprised when the DVD's arrive damaged. Also, they do not inspect items prior to shipping them and are surprised if an item occasional is not complete.

That is what happens when a company has a shipping department where the employees make minimum wage and do not care about anything other than getting out as many packages as they can per hour, with no regard for the customers potential products. With this being the case, Amazon becomes surprised when customers have to return the items...This is not a good business sense and with cancelling accounts haphazardly like this, word is going to get around and people are going to stop using Amazon...

Amazon - Altered my Feedback

I placed feedback on an item and Amazon changed it to sound less negative. It was a third party seller who at the last minute told me an item was out of stock. They changed it around to be very benign instead of truthful. Four days before Christmas Sunrise Outlet told me that one item was not available when I ordered it over a week prior. Why do they ask for feedback if they are going to change it anyway. Third party sellers on Amazon are the worst! This is the second negative experience I have had during the Christmas holiday!

Can't buy Amazon.com gift card with Amazon.com Visa

You are now connected to Manisha from Amazon.com. Me:Merry Christmas. I am trying to purchase an amazon.com gift card with my amazon.com visa card and the checkout process is requesting that I select Amazon.com Visa for a payment method. That payment method is not listed in my choices.10:04:19 AM Me:The only 2 choices available are "Credit or Debit" and "Amazon.com Store Card". I've tried entering my number in both options, but I receive an error stating that I did not select the right type of payment.10:04:19 AM Me:Please provide feedback that it is incredibly frustrating and totally absurd to not be able to purchase something on Amazon.com with an Amazon.com credit card. The technical controls put in place here do nothing for security or fraud prevention and the last thing a business should do is make it hard for customers to give them money.10:04:19 AM Me:If you've got a fix to circumvent the issue, I'd love to know it.10:04:19 AM Me:Thank you!10:04:19 AM Me:Michael10:04:19 AM Manisha:Hello, my name is Manisha. I'll be happy to help you today. 10:04:23 AM Me:Thanks, Manisha. 10:04:42 AM Manisha:Let me check.10:05:10 AM Manisha:Can you please tell do you want to send the gift card via e-mail, mail which procedure you are selecting?10:05:56 AM Me:via email.10:06:26 AM Me:great question!10:06:36 AM Manisha:Thank you. Let me check.10:07:12 AM Manisha:I would like to inform you that there is no need to select the amazon.com visa card separately, you just need to put the credit card number, card holder's name & expiration date & click on continue & your order will good to go.10:11:25 AM Me:As stated above, I keep getting an error when I do. 10:12:10 AM Me:"The credit card number did not match the card type that you selected. Please check the credit card number and select the proper credit card type from the dropdown menu.10:12:59 AM Me:"10:12:59 AM Manisha:Michael then in this case I request you to give us a call at 1-866-216-1072 & we'll add the credit card for you.10:13:27 AM Me:Thanks for the advice, but I will not. It's too much trouble, so I will go somewhere else. Please provide this feedback that when you make it too difficult to do business, you lose money. Especially with an Amazon.com Visa card. Ridiculous. Thanks for your help, Manisha.10:15:17 AM Manisha:I am sorry for the inconvenience you've faced. You're welcome. Thanks for visiting Amazon.com. Amazon not policing their retail partners

I placed an order through Amazon for a tablet. The item was listed as "in stock" and I paid additional shipping to have it before Christmas. The retailer, Electonics Expo listed the status as "Shipped" on Amazon's site. When I inquired about the item today with the retailer, I was told that it was out of stock and would not be here for Christmas. I contacted Amazon Customer Service, who confirmed with the retailer the item was not in stock however, did not address the fact that the retailer had falsely listed the item has "in stock" and "shipped" Beware dealing with Amazon or, Electronics Expo.

I'm pissed at Amazon for giving my unlisted private number to one of their merchants that I left a negative feedback on. What I ordered and what i got was not what was described in the add.

I left a negative feedback about it... the merchant kept asking me to remove the feed back and I told him I would if he changed his add to be truthful and he didnt and he kept on emailing me to do so. Then He Called Me At My Unlisted Home Number!!!!! Im done with Amazon...

Chase/Amazon Credit Card Security Breach

Two years ago I signed up for a Chase/Amazon credit card for the rewards. This week I received a call from Chase that they had declined a $1000+ purchase from an on-line retailer. They asked if I had made the purchase, and I said that I did not order from the merchant. Somehow my credit card number was acquired by an unauthorized person. The problem is that I used the Amazon card only for Amazon.com purchases. After I received it, I wrote VOID in the signature space on the back of the card and put it in a file folder in my filing cabinet. It was never in may wallet, it never left the house, and it was never used for any online purchases except from Amazon. I cut is up when Chase cancelled the card for the fraudulent purchase attempt. I contacted Amazon about the security breach and received the standard form letter about other family members using the card and requesting more information. I had explained in my first contact with Amazon that the card never left my house, and it was used only for Amazon purchases by me. I do not store the credit card number on my computer, so the only way it could be found would be from Amazon or Chase. If Amazon was the source of the breach, it would have huge effects on their business. The same is true for Chase. Both have business reasons to sweep this under the rug.

My husband and I are having the same problem right now! After using it for the rewards strictly in Amazon its been hacked through Amazon marketplace and neither company helps. They just keep blaming each other.

Anonymous
#704516

Same thing just happened to me. The card NEVER left the house and was in no way in contact with human beings.

It was only used and stored in the Amazon website AND known by, of course, Chase. Someone has obviously gotten into one of their systems, but today, both are either denying it or just don't know about any large-scale breach yet. It would really bother me if it were amazon, though, because usually more than one card number is stored there!

At least with Chase, you just lose the ability to use your card for less than a week or so, and then get a replacement and business as usual. I'm going to call Chase in a couple of days and asking that investigation is panning out.

Anonymous
#426917

It is evident that Chase has had a major security breach over the past few months. As an online retailer, I have had upwards of 200 calls regarding fraudulent use of a card and each time, it is a Chase credit card.

The charges are not approved as the culprit does not have the security code to go along with the number. We sale high end items that they are looking to purchase and resale.

I contacted Chase fraud department and they seem to careless. If a consumer does get hit with fraudulent charges it is the retailer who takes the hit in the end, not the credit card company.

Anonymous
#393835

nikalseyn - After the card was mailed to me, it never left the house and it was used only for Amazon purchases. No other cards I use for on-line purchases at other e-tailers have been compromised.

I scan my computer daily for malware. If Amazon or Chase were not the source of the breach, why are my other cards still secure?

John N
#393320

So, what is the point of your complaint?? This happens alot.

Not just to Chase or Amazon but to all businesses. You reported it to Chase and Amazon. Give them all the info you can and they will take care of it.

You are not responsible for a fraudulent charge. You make it sound like Chase and Amazon are bad companies just because someone, somehow fraudulently used your card.

Amazon: We were just kidding

I ordered and received an item from Amazon. It was incorrectly advertised - the wrong size. I proceeded to return the item via the website and a window was generated that said the item did not need to be returned that "it was on us" and I took a print screen of the window as backup proof. The window is proof that I was promised a refund. I never saw the refund. I called and was told they had no idea why I would received that window/message but that NOW I had to return the item. That's fine - I will, but shame on Amazon for not even wanting to SEE the document proving my claim. Clearly they do not honor or control what happens within their website.

Most items sold on Amazon are sold through independent sellers and not directly through Amazon. Amazon has no control over these sellers and how they handle their refund process.

TD Callin merchant on Amazon scam!

I ordered an iPhone 4S from a merchant called TD callin on Amazon on November 14. The estimated delivery day ended December 7. Needless to say, they charged my credit card for 804 dollars and never delivered the phone. I wrote them through Amazon several times and then proceeded to ignore me. They also ignored an order cancellation request. Basically they just took the money and ran. I have filed a complaint with Amazon and am hoping they can do something about it, since it was a merchant on their site. Be very careful of this TD Callin merchant on Amazon!

AMAZON.COM is a a market for thieves. Why Because they allow you to sell things. But the buyer can request a refund and then not send the item back. Amazon.com encourages sellers to send immediate refunds to conduct good business. But then will state not to send...

I also have a grievance with Amazon. I was hacked from someone and they purchased a computer for $2000.

Mistakenly the package was delivered to my home I thought. But when I spoke to Amazon representative about the *** and requested a return from for my credit. The hacker had already called Amazon as well and requested a replacement. So, even though there should have been notes to the fact it was a hacker, they replaced the computer.

While the computer I received was already being shipped back to Amazon. The hacker had convinced Amazon to ship the replacement to another address as well in NY and to a Name nothing like mine. ?? So the hacker received his computer as well.

In the mean time I requested a refund because I did not approve the purchase of the computer and gave the whole story to my banking credit card company. They stood by their word and refunded the money to my account. Unlike Amazon. Amazon on the other hand decided to freeze my account.

Thus, steeling everything I have purchased from them, Audible, Prime Movies, my Prime benefits and I’m sure other services I already paid for. They have not given my any help in the situation except treating me as a customer AS A Thief.

Thanks just wanted to give another issue with Amazon Services and how they treat the thief better than the customer. Russell Taylor
