False statements about free shipping. | Amazon review from Paradise Valley, Arizona

I just tried to place an order on Amazon but when I went to check out I was charged over $15 for shipping charges that should have been $4.65. I ordered 2 items which the combined price was about $112. The ads for these said there was free super shipping on orders over $25. The 3rd item said free standard shipping. The fourth item said $4.65 for shipping. I called them and after about 40 minutes I just got so disgusted that I hung up. The CSR gave me some gobbledeguk and I had no idea what he was saying. What happened? Isn't the customer always assumed to be right? With this type of attitude many people will stop doing business with this company. Same thing happened with my Christmas order. I ended up cancelling it also. Should have known better than to try to buy anything from them again. I have learned my lesson. For just a little over $10 they have lost a customer. Its like they don't even want your business. They certainly lost a lot of future business from me as I buy gift cards $200-$400 for my clients which I will switch to a different company. Anyone know of a good reputable company that I can use?

While the plethora of shipping options might be a little overwhelming, if you just read what is there on the screen you would know how much your shipping will be, & you could see what the qualifications are for that shipping option. Here is another little old adage for you, "let the buyer beware". There is no "small print" everything is clearly marked.

Actually to get free shipping the item has to be sold and fulfilled by amazon if the items were purchased through a seller or marketplace seller those items do not count towards the total to be eligible for free shipping

Actually, "The customer is always right" is nothing more than a store slogan from the old Marshall Fields store in Chicago. Means nothing in the real world. And I seriously doubt Amazon is going to miss your business.

Amazon wished me a merry christmas...

Ordered a $1000 led tv for my parents 2 weeks before christmas. It came on wednesday the week before christmas in horrible condition. The box was mangled, you heard the shattered glass pieces moving around inside. So I refused the package. I call amazon that night saying the tv is unacceptable and if they can send me a replacement right away, they refused. Only if I got my refund they can. They said I would immediately have my refund... on friday. Friday comes, and unsurprisingly, no refund. So now all hope of getting a tv before christmas is gone. I email them saying exactly what happened since the tv came. They email me back with no acknowledgement of the issue at all, no mention of the 2 customer service reps that assured me my refund would be there by that friday. All they said was I'll see my refund in the next 1-2 business days, and "Thank you for your inquiry. Did I solve your problem?". Merry Christmas to you too amazon......

Seller from Amazon shipped wrong product, and Amazon do nothing

I bought a "1 of: Tape LTO Ultrium-5 1.5TB/3.0TB Library Pack 20/pk No case (New)" from Technology Galaxy, a seller from Amazon. When I received the product, after I paid the shipping costs and fees, the product was wrong. I got in contact withTechnology Galaxy and they said they don´t have the right product they can only reimburse me, but the cost of shipping plus fees is higher than the product. When I contacted Amazon they said I should send the product back, with my costs and they can only reimburse. After I exchange 3 e-mails with Amazon saying I want my product and not a reimburse. Amazon simple did nothing cause they claim I had 3 days to send the product back or the claim is closed. But why I will spend more money sending the product back if Amazon will do not send me the right product.

You should've left a negative feedback for Technology Galaxy immediately, and then file A-Z claim. You'd get your money back this way, and oftentimes you get to keep the product. Don't even think of contacting Amazon or the seller. This will give them a good message, and they'd respond to you sooner.

Besides, the item being described as No Case is a clear violation of Amazon policy as this description doesn't jive with the Amazon Catalog description for that very widget. No Case means the item is USED not new. This legally makes the condition not as described, meaning you're entitled to have your money back, and the seller should be suspended if you ask me.

Don't rely on what the Support has told you, they are outsourced and not knowledgeable. Should you really want to speak to them, request to escalate your claim to a Supervisor.

3 days is baloney - who told you that? You have up to 30 days to file a claim, but in reality up to 90 days. You also have up to 90 days to leave a feedback, so give them a neg now!

Simultaneously, file a complaint with BBB, and a chargeback with your credit card. Then sit tight & wait. Meanwhile, do your shopping elsewhere. It's obvious you won't get your item if the seller is out of it.

I personally wouldn't trust Amazon at all.

Amazon Stealing iPhone 5 Order Funds

On December 13 2012, I placed an order online for an Apple iPhone 5 Unlocked for $780.94. On Amazon's website, it shows the phone was to be shipped by D's Sportswear and arrive for Christmas. On December 17th, we received an email from D's Sportswear informing us that Amazon has severed its relationship and that my order would not be filled. They promised to refund Amazon as soon as possible. Amazon's Customer Service states that D's Sportswear is a 3rd party supplier and that Amazon has no control over their suppliers. My position is I purchased from Amazon. Amazon tells me that I must pay for another Apple iPhone 5 and hopefully sometime after Christmas a refund will be processed by Amazon. Financially that is not an option for me and secondly, Amazon should stand behind its corporate reputation and not place consumers in the middle between it and its suppliers. I do not want my money refunded - I simply want what I purchased at the price that I paid Amazon. Amazon is ruining Christmas for customers!!

Don't rely on what Amazon Customer Service told you - they are outsourced & not knowledgeable at all. Most likely, you received a canned copy-and-paste response.

.

.

In your case, the problem was that Amazon has suspended this seller for multiple violations, while they still have orders pending, but what do they care if already being suspended? They cannot sell on Amazon, ever. So might as well *** and forget about refunds. Close their bank account, credit cards etc, and let Amazon eat it.

.

.

Amazon on the other hand doesn't want to get stuck with it. It's baloney that they have no control over their suppliers - in fact, they do, and quite a lot. In this case, the supplier left, and Amazon doesn't want to reimburse you out of their pocket, simple as that. But they should.

.

.

You're absolutely right when saying that you want what you'd already purchased. See if you can leave a negative feedback to the seller - you always start with that - and file A-Z claim. This is official, and Amazon can't say no. Don't rely on what Support tells you, they don't know what they're talking about. Just leave a neg - you have 90 days to do so, and file A-Z. This will speed up the process of you getting reimbursed. After having your money back, go off shopping elsewhere. I'd say Ebay. On Ebay, what you see is what you get.

Amazon.com

I make a mistake by ordering the wrong cologne, it was for *** men, and the person it was a gift for is not ***. I canceled it immediately, yet they still withdrew the funds. I sent an email specifically asking to make sure that this did not happen. I've canceled it several more times on my account but it doesn't show, the order is still showing up as proceeding. No response to my attempted emails, except for the seller saying that he has nothing to do with banking. It is very frustrating not having a phone number where I can talk to someone about this. They wasted no time at all withdrawing the money.

Amazon and Walmart

Cyber Monday Amazon and Walmart posted items for great prices that were back ordered to January. Amazon never even contacted me to tell me that the items were on back order, I just happen to call after notice my credit was not charged and my online account said not shipped and it was a week after I purchased. 2 days later Walmart sent me a message that they canceled my entire order and had the nerve to put a temp hold on my card for 7 days. I will never again in life shop Cyber Monday. It's a lie, misleading, and false advertising. Most of all a waste of time.
