BEWARE OF AMAZON

Yesterday I sent back a bunch of stuff I needed to return to AMAZON oh wait that was in Monday9/15/2015 we'll apparently I received an email today stating they had closed my account so I emailed them back an all they could say is after closely reviewing your account we now have to end our business relationship. NEEDLESS TO SAY I EMAILED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW NOT ONLY DO I WANT A REFUND FOR MY PRIME MEMBERSHIP I ALSO LET POLITELY KNOW SINCE THEY CHOSE TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT A REASONABLE EXPLANATION I LET THEM AND THE AMAZON STORE CARD KNOW THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BALANCE ON THE ACCOUNT. I went on to say I plan to contact the FTC and The BBB as well as contact the general attorney if they do not take care of it. I AM ALSO THINKING OF SUEING THEM FOR DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE I DID NOTHING WRONG

Beware of the Prime Billing Fraud

Amazon Prime initial trials turn into fraud and theft. I tried to purchase a membership for my son after the trial expired. I paid $99 for a year's membership for a Prime gift card. Amazon's system would not activate the card even though my payment was processed successfully. I called an *** at Amazon customer service who ended up having my card charged TWICE for services never rendered. I let Wells Fargo deal with it as outright theft and fraud, because the reps at Amazon said they could not correct THEIR error. STAY FAR AWAY FROM AMAZON!!! They are not accountable for their billing errors. I will never do business with those thieves again.

Charged $2700 for a $200 tripod

I ordered the Vixen Optics SXD2 mount from Amazon for $2699. As I write this, they show 1 in stock. That is not true. I ordered the mount last week when they showed 2 in stock. The order should consist of 2 boxes...one weighing 15.4 pounds with the tripod, the other weighing 43 pounds with the mount itself. I was shipped ONLY the 15.4-pound tripod box...and that box had been opened so it was apparently a returned item which was sold as new. The mount was NEVER shipped. When I spoke with customer service, they promised a complete new 2-box order would be shipped that day and arrive two days later. On the day I should have received the replacement order, I instead receive an email stating it will be 4-6 weeks...which is strange since the website still lists one as being in stock several days later. I immediately cancelled the order and ordered it elsewhere. Bottom line: Amazon charged my credit card $2699 for a $200 tripod and now refuses to issue any kind of credit to my card until they receive the tripod back, which is already in the hands of UPS. I ended up ordering the mount through Adorama...and DID NOT go through Amazon. The entire order (two boxes) was shipped the same day. I will never order another high-end item from Amazon. Amazon's customer service reps seem to be trained to repeat, over and over, "I understand"...when they clearly do not. Insert a product link

Kindle app DESTROYS notes and bookmarks...

Regarding the Amazon Kindle reading app for android devices, I had created over 80 hours of notes for a book I was reading and when attempting to sync these notes with the PC version of this app the notes were completely destroyed in the process. After two weeks of chasing this issue with customer service and their technical department, they acknowledged they 'probably' have a technical issue with these apps. They said they were 'sorry' and gave me a $30 credit to 'compensate' me. I have the e-mail history of my attempt to describe the irreparable harm their apps did to me in destroying my work. At customer service's suggestion, I wrote to corporate at jeff@***.com. I received no response. Incredible indifference on Amazon's part to a customer of over 10 years!

Possible way to resolve Amazon Rental claims of damage... First I got the following email: Dear ..., Thank you for returning your rental.

Amazon Sends Known Defective Product! WTF

Okay, I ordered this graphics card (Jaton HD5450) from Amazon. I was really trustful it was working, as it came STRAIGHT FROM AMAZON. They waited 4 days to ship the product, and even used Smartpost (slower than a turtle with 4 broken legs and dumber than a rock), and that took 1 1/2 weeks. I sent in a complaint to FedEx, and they just sent their *** automated message. It came, and I was happy it did, after the LONG wait. Well, that was absolute ***. Comes and doesn't POST or work at all. Tried on 3 different PCs, all of them guranteed to work with PCI graphics cards. There was 2 other reviews claiming the card didn't work, but Amazon just HAD to scam someone with it. I wish Amazon was defunct..

Music download does not work.

I had been downloading music from Amazon since 2004. Something changed in the summer of 2014 so that all the screens appear to show you that what you have bought is available but you can not actually download it. You are still charged for it. I won't be downloading any more music from Amazon. Its turned in to a scam and there is nowhere to dispute the problem. There are now too many other places that make music available and while some of them are more expensive you at least can get what you paid for. Don't try to download music from Amazon!

Account credit ignored

Had account credit and gift card, checked both boxes to use for order this week. Account credit was not deducted at checkout,called rep and was informed that it would be credited 'at shipping' and 'don't worry, we do this all the time' and 'we know what we're doing'. Waited for shipping notice, received today. NOT CREDITED. Called, and was told Justyne credited it to my credit card, received email verification of same. Few minutes later, received notification email by Rey that after an order is shipped/closed, this is not possible; the email was written to blame me for all of the errors; "we're sorry YOU didn't... credit it before you checked out", etc.. Called again, spoke w/ sprvsr Daniel who first stated that he saw that, indeed, I had checked both boxes for those credits toward this order, and that therefore is was Amazon's error. Then stated that he couldn't put it on the order. Told him I received email that was credited to credit card, he said 'then it is' and just wait the few business days (which will be 1 more week) to see the credit. UNFORTUNATELY, they speak with forked tongues, because Rey's email was sent specifically to negate Justyne's, and they won't admit it, but successfully put me off for another week, and for which I now will have to file a formal complaint with the BBB and other regulatory agencies, and spend yet more valuable time and energy to fix what Amazon screwed up on despite multiple efforts by me to correct it both BEFORE and after the fact.

Built-in Order Picking Delays

Almost all online/catalog retailers process, pick and ship your orders within 1-2 business days (as a drop ship supplier to many of these retailers this was our contractual requirement) and the type of freight you are willing to pay for will determine how fast the package arrives. At Amazon they appear to be delaying the process they control unless you are willing to pay extra. They disguise this by telling you when a package will arrive rather than when the package will be shipped. Most recently I placed an order on Aug 22 and the drop ship portion of the order was shipped within 2-days but the Amazon warehouse portion of the order is still pending as of Aug 28. Amazon, your order processing delay policy will definitely encourage me to shop elsewhere before buying from you.

Third Party Seller Didn't Deliver

All these years spending a considerable amount of money on Amazon and now I face their ridiculous third-party seller policy. BUYER BEWARE!!! Amazon has a do nothing policy when it comes to their third party sellers! I wanted to cancel an order that was submitted two weeks ago and have heard nothing from the seller even though numerous emails have been sent. This was a high school textbook and I could not wait to see what this seller was or wasn't going to do. So, I purchased another book from an Amazon approved seller. It arrived in two days yet, AMAZON STILL WON"T CANCEL THE ORDER from the terrible seller!! SHAME ON AMAZON!! You have made a loyal customer of Amazon a very pissed off customer.

It pretty much sucks that they will keep insisting that you email a seller who won't even respond to THEIR emails for whatever reason.

I have been told so many times to just wait for the seller to respond, the cancellation has already been requested...well it's obvious that if the seller is dead or simply no longer selling, they won't be answering, 9 days have already passed and the book hasn't shipped.

What I don't like, is that they tell you to file a claim when you can't do that because 30 days haven't passed, and neither has the estimated shipping date.

I want to buy my item elsewhere, and I don't want this person to be able to charge me on the 29th day after I already bought another copy from some where else.

Then I would have to pay to return the item to get a refund. If Amazon would just cancel the thing, I wouldn't have to be worried about this.

I doubt the seller will be responding, though, as they have not sold anything in 2 years!

The Amazon third party policies are ***!

I've had nothing but "issues" with their third party sellers, either way overcharged for shipping, or overcharged & never receiving the product. 3 of 3 last 3rd party orders, all became an issue.

No thanks. I will never order from a 3rd party again & even items that appear to be from Amazon, I will be calling to verify.

Book never delivered

I, too ordered a textbook ($100 book). All books ordered from other sources had long since arrived so I sent them an Amazon message. There is no shipping information given for my order. They said it shipped Aug 4 (order date was July 31). Still no book at end of delivery window so I messaged them again as I don't see a place yet available to click on for a non-delivery claim at Amazon. They did respond and said they would initiate a "postal trace". (huh?) No word back yet. So disgusted...out 100 bucks...daughter still needs a book and she is out of state now. Not going to deal with Amazon for books unless they come from their warehouse. After I ordered I saw feedback of people with this same issue...but it wasn't there for me to see when I placed my order.

Unethical Business Practices

I ordered Biology ISBN 978-0-13-****5-1-0 on August 15. I received notification that it was shipped on the 18th with a tracking#. On August 21st I received an email notification that my account was being credited for the cost of the book. I contacted Amazon & was told the seller probably realized the book was out of stock after I ordered it. Bookbyte123 still had the book listed at $15.00 more than what I ordered it at. I checked again later in the evening and they had the book listed for 53.75 more than I originally ordered it for!! They cancelled my order to get more for the book. My son had to start school without a biology book and I paid a whopping $23.98 for expedited shipping! Completely unethical and unacceptable.

Amazon's business practice

Their product descriptions are inadequate. Colors can be misleading (what they call beige is a mix of white and dark brown). shipping weight is often missing. no product warranty info. Product photos only show the front side but never the back, which often is made of different materials or finish. Their price is not competitive. 80% of the time I can find better prices at Walmart or Target, at times, Home Depot or Costco. If you return an item because amazon's price is too high, they charge you return shipping because being more expensive is not "amazon seller's fault". Also Amazon kept my positive reviews but censored out my low rating reviews. I will not submit any more positive reviews even though I had benefited tremendously from others who took the time to give feedback.
