Amazon review in Ashburn, Virginia: Did not even attempt to deliver

Today is October 8th Columbus day, and UPS is working normal hours. My package was "Out for delivery" and then 15 minutes later my tracked package was delivery attempt failed. It takes 30 minutes to even make it to my office. The driver did not even attempt to deliver the package. Just took the opportunity of the holiday to not do HIS JOB...so now delivery delayed. Then they post to Amazon that the office was not opened meanwhile there are sixty people in the office. This is a constant issue with UPS, which is why my company uses FedEx for everything.

I had a package shipped from Amazon on October 2nd. I also purchased something from newegg.com on the 5th.

The Amazon order (tracking 1Z6Y6E460319587970) left from KY, the newegg order (1ZX887810385337598) left from TN. Now I live near St. Louis Mo. KY is closer than TN.

Both packages arrived at the local sorting facility on the same day, the 6th) The newegg item arrived today, Oct 8th, but the Amazon order is still sitting at the sorting facility in Earth City. Why? Cuz Amazon and UPS are like oil and water. Purchase something from newegg.com in the midwest, and you usually get it in 1 or 2 days.

And that's with UPS. Do the same with Amazon, and it takes at least a week.

Minimum. Amazon is the problem.

Amazon review in Dallas, Texas: What a Joke!

For a company hailed for its excellent customer service, my experiences has led me to believe quite the opposite. The lovely email responses you receive from them appear written by a computer...very generic and patronizing. Look-if I am pissed the last thing I want is someone to apologize deceivingly and futher more offer no true solution to my angst. Instead, a generic response is fabricated and directions to guidelines concerning the issue. In other words, they do what they want and your just *hit out of luck. SO goes the problem with online retailers such as Amazon that do not have true box locations. Your stuck fighting with an iinternet entity who could really care less and there is nothing you can do about it in person. The so-called plus for Amazon- free shipping for orders over $25- is also a total scam. I suggest doing a little comparison shopping before buying from Amazon. Wal-mart has a very good online service and I have experienced true customer service through them.

I personally think Amazon is testing out their drone system by first replacing their customer service with drones. I had a recent rather large issue with Amazon and all I got were generic responses, copy and paste repetitions of the same exact messages.

You feel like you are getting no where and just running around in circles.

Personally, due to my circumstances, I will most likely be boycotting Amazon completely.

Anyone who would tout WalMart as an example of good service over Amazon.com and give no specifics of a complaint is not to be taken seriously.

The problem with this kind of complaint is that you give absolutely no specifics!! XXXX company is bad!

WTF? If you can't actually explain the issue, why should anyone take your vague complaint seriously?

Amazon ignores information about unethical behavior by its vendors

A book seller on Amazon's Marketplace deliberately withholds information that some of their books ship from Europe and even lied about it in an email. I would have never ordered the book form them if I that information because it is likely to be later in arriving. When I contacted Amazon to ask them to investigate a dealer who lied in writing about shipping info, I was told that the claim couldn't be investigated since the book dealer, who knew I was filing a complaint (my second mistake), refunded w/o my asking the $3.99 shipping cost which effectively closed out the standard route for a complaint. The dealer knew that Amazon's A to Z guarantee is structured to deal only with refund issues of the most narrow kind. My emails to Amazon were clear I did not want a refund BUT to report a dishonest dealer who lied to a customer and then had gamed their system by issuing the small refund. I asked two times for an appropriate email address to inform Amazon of the seller's dishonesty. I was told there was no recourse and no way to share this information was provided. My take away? Be careful since clever, dishonest dealers have figured out how to manipulate Amazon's a to Z guarantee and Amazon apparently does not care enough to even provide a way to inform them when this happens.

We ordered a Remington Razor advertised as NEW. Amazon's vendor DiscountJungle.com sent a Factory Serviced unit. This is illegal in Ohio. Discount Jungle Reviews on Google show many complaints where NEW merchandise advertised but Refurbished shipped. Amazon would not respond as to why Amazon allowed this to continue without stopping this for all of their customers, though they refunded me.

If this happens to you, please contact the Attorney General's Office for the State of Washington where Amazon is located, or contact me. Amazon is a good company, but with a weak tolerance for correcting bait and switch patterns that are brought to their attention. So let's help change this for Amazon and keep the internet fair and honest.

Amazon is BAD!!!!

I have had the worst experience with the worst web page in the internet! Please don't buy nothing from this people that don't know how to treat a customer!!! I have bad experience before but the one with Amazon was the worst ever!! Its better to buy in the market around your house!! If I am not the only one who complain about this bad people you do the math! And also 3 other members of my family have had problems with this people too!! Consider your next buy and shop around you house, in case you have a problem you don't have to deal with this people online!

I love shopping at Amazon, my prime account gets me free shipping and access to tons of streaming movies and shows. Your complaint about Amazon mentions nothing at all specific. So your complaint should be dismissed since it is like saying this:

"Don't go buy at walmart because I don't like it and I feel they don't treat me right"

Subjective to say the least, but I don't expect you to even understand what that means.

Amazon is an extremely reputable company with great customer service. I personally know of no one who doesn't feel this way. Your complaint is vague, gives NO specifics, makes little sense, and is quite frankly, painful to read.

Amazon do not know their own product

Orders a 3 volume set of technical manuals. Amazon delivered volume 2. I contacted them using their returns link and they asked me to return the volume that I had received and they would send a new shipment. When the new shipment arrived it once again is only volume 2, no volume 1 or volume 3. Contacted them again to say that they had ioncorrectly shipped again. Their response is that they want me to send back what I have received and they are no longer going to supply the book I want as they dont know what the problem is. Fairly simple, put the 3 books in the box, not just one.

We're AMAZON Were HUGE we can do whatever we F ing want!

I was at some point deceptively charged for "Amazon Prime" an annual $79.00 charge. At no point do I recall authorizing this charge and demand that I receive documentation supporting this charge. I intend to file a complaint with the State of Michigan Attorney Generals office. I realize that Amazon has already meticulously positioned itself for such occurrences. But consider the negative impact on these actions. I have previously purchased items, music, clothes, etc... This has ended my trust in your company has been ruined and I demand that my account be terminated. I have requested a refund and threw a email confirmation it was explained to me that refunds can take up to 3 days to process. Why then are purchases instantaneously? I would would like to speak to whomever came up with this repulsive ploy to defraud it's customers out of their hard earned money.

Actually the OP just never read the terms when they clicked click here for free 2 day shipping.

With the little * that said a bunch of legal terms and 79 annual fee.

OP you are ridiculous, this is not specific to Amazon, here's what it is.

Prime is a subscription based charge. That means it has recurrent billing. So the renewal of service is automatic and they tell you this when you are signing up for prime. 72 hours for a refund is not an unreasonable amount of time, it falls in line with what is standard.

Credit card companies and retailers or service providers have these arrangements already made. This is why credit card charges will continue to bill for aprox 90 days to an old card number when you change your credit card number. It's set up this way.

Amazon did nothing wrong, you just don't understand how the billing works, this happens with anyone that offers a service that has a credit card on file for recurrent billing.

Okie lets call them out. Numbers never lie.

Amazon please post the number of inactive accounts. If everyone knows what they got it should be 0! Reading other posts where people who have real charge cards might not notice a annual one time charge there IS more than 0. I oticed it because Im not super rich and it came out of my debit account.

The same account that now only has $20 and I'm at a loss till payday for me and my kids.

Sorry my poverty disturbs your otherwise isolated affluant exsistance. Go back to the country club and pretend everything is still perfect my pretty.

"At no point do I recall authorizing this charge" Exactly. just because you don't recall doing it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Sorry, but after years of dealing with Amazon, I find it hard to believe that they somehow mistakenly charged you. Also, 3 days to process a refund is perfectly reasonable, it is the credit card companies and banks they use that determine the timeline, not Amazon.

Amazon's Publishing Nightmare

Amazon is paying little attention to the product reviews published on their site. As a result, many of the reviews published are propagated from product to product without any relevance. This mistake relates to all products, all editions, etc., be they books, music, cameras, or you name it. For example, read the reviews on any music CD published in several different editions, blue book format, SACD, 1-cd packages, 2-cd packages, extended, remastered, etc. You will find that the same reviews have been propagated across all editions and that what the reviewers were talking about for one version of a CD has nothing to do with another version that was enhanced, remastered, or extended with added tracks, rerecorded, etc. The lack of oversight on what they are publishing makes many of the reviews worthless unless the reviewer specifically identifies the edition by features like release date, format, number of CDs, or other identifying characteristics that allow the reader to tell without question if the review relates to the specific product. Obviously, those of us trying to make informed buying decisions can't rely on Amazon's published reviews.

I have prime and I love it. I never pay for shipping and I get all that streaming video. Nothing ever takes long to arrive and in most cases it comes to me within 1 day of ordering even when just doing standard.

I find value in the service myself.

Amazon.com allowed someone to setup a new account with MY CREDIT CARD !!

** WARNING to Customers of Amazon.com ** I purchased a new cell phone holster on Amazon. com at end of July. At the beginning of August, someone setup a new Amazon account with MY CREDIT CARD and purchased an item for $223.49. I contacted Amazon to dispute the charge when I noticed it on my credit card bill. And I received this email from Amazon --> "It appears the card was used without your authorization, we have closed this new account and cancelled any outstanding orders. We recommend you cancel the card immediately by contacting your financial insititution that issued the card. Unfortunately, is this is the situation, you should know that charges in the amounts of $223.49 were processed by us." How does Amazon.com allow this to happen ??? How can someone setup a new account with MY CREDIT CARD ???

Amazon doesn't do anything about your credit card, you and your bank do. You did what you were supposed to do by noticing the fraudulent charge, Amazon did what it was supposed to do by cancelling the account, now let your bank do what they're supposed to do -- tell them about it so they can get the money back and change your credit card number.

Amazon had banned me weeks back and caused me to lose over $4000 a month in income. I had no late shipments, no negatives or disputes of any kind.

Yet they still banned me with no appeal?

Unbelievable. Being with them for several years and good standing account is not enough protection from a suspension.

I had to contact Auction Essistance to help me get back on to earn back on what I have made previously.
