I had purchased four items from Amazon which had qualified for their "free" super saver shipping, and they shipped to me in two small boxes. Two of the items were not as pictured or just plain falsely represented (a ribbon sold as natural burlap was actually 100%...

Got kicked out of selling on Amazon

After not being able to secure a teaching job due to work related problems, I turned to sales. I've been selling items through mailorder for years selling DVD's and used video games, and have never had issues apart from the PO destroying a package and refusing to take responsibility. I have sold on Amazon for years, and just got kicked out of selling because of an unfair negative feedback. A new customer to Amazon made her first purchase with me, and I refunded her entire order because I noticed the movie she ordered was a promo disc. I sent her a detailed message as to why I refunded her order. She asked me several questions about how her money would be refunded to her credit card, and I explained every step of this in plain English to her. When she was assured that her credit card had not lost her $8, she then promptly left me negative feedback (including poor customer service, no communication, and poor shipping time). Amazon upholds her right to leave unfair feedback, and I could do nothing about this. The final straw: because the item turned out to be a promo disc, I was banned from selling because promotional items are not for sale. End of Story, and end of my relationship selling on Amazon. SERIOUSLY??? I refunded this customer's entire purchase because I didn't realize the item was a promo when I stocked it, and once I caught the mistake, I had no intention of selling it, otherwise I would have sent her the %$&$ disc and she never would known the difference. But now I am banned because I tried to stop the sell of a promo disc and gave this customer all of her money back? As of right now, I am still within the window of delivery for that transaction, but yet she leaves me poor feedback for shipping time? I answered every question she had through Amazon messaging, but she leaves me poor feedback for communication? I gave her a complete and instant refund, but she leaves me poor feedback for customer service? Amazon obviously does not care about small business sellers. I do this for a living, I feed family of three, and now this. I am devastated, and this is to put it nicely.

Amazon and their partner vendor Discount Jungle ADVERTISED NEW ITEM, BUT SENT REFURBISHED

We ordered a Remington Razor advertised as NEW. Amazon's vendor DiscountJungle.com sent a Factory Serviced unit. This is illegal in Ohio. Discount Jungle Reviews on Google show many complaints where NEW merchandise advertised but Refurbished shipped. Amazon would not respond as to why Amazon allowed this to continue without stopping this for all of their customers, though they refunded me. If this happens to you, please contact the Attorney General's Office for the State of Washington where Amazon is located, or contact me. Amazon is a good company, but with a weak tolerance for correcting bait and switch patterns that are brought to their attention. So let's help change this for Amazon and keep the internet fair and honest. Joe Bush joebush@roadrunner.com"

Amazon used books

I had to return a used textbook bought through a vendor from Amazon.com called NYNYBoro. My son dropped the class and I returned the book within a couple of days. The company kept $20 as a re-stocking fee! No where does it say on the site that they can charge that for a return. I always thought amazon ensured fair returns but in this case they did not. DON"T buy from NYNBoro. Beware the used books from amazon. I am very displeased with the reaction of amazon when I filed a complaint. I feel totally ripped off.

7thAvenueStore Costumes From Amazon Wouldn't Refund a Damaged Costume

They sent me a Wonder Woman costume and it was badly damaged. It had paint splatters on it. It also looked liked they dragged the costume along the ground causing scratches. Even without the very clear damages, it just did not fit well and looked awful. The quality was terrible and very cheaply made. They has clearly done the least work required to make the costume. When I tried to return it, I was turned away. They refused to return my money but said I could have "store credit." I don't want store credit, the rest of their costumes looked terrible and would also be badly damaged.

Amazon in West Palm Beach, Florida - Sick of lasership

Sick and tired of complaining to Amazon about the cut-rate shipping service LASERSHIP. I understnad they want to save money on Prime memberships, but this company damages packages and products, and can't deliver on time. I have video of them throwing my items 20+ feet into my door, breaking items, leaving them in the rain, and I've had to call Amazon to have them fix it each time. I don't understand why they can't stop using this carrier. I've been with Amazon for 10+ years, and I'm done dealing with this... no more orders for me.

Amazon in Ashburn, Virginia - Did not even attempt to deliver

Today is October 8th Columbus day, and UPS is working normal hours. My package was "Out for delivery" and then 15 minutes later my tracked package was delivery attempt failed. It takes 30 minutes to even make it to my office. The driver did not even attempt to deliver the package. Just took the opportunity of the holiday to not do HIS JOB...so now delivery delayed. Then they post to Amazon that the office was not opened meanwhile there are sixty people in the office. This is a constant issue with UPS, which is why my company uses FedEx for everything.

Amazon in Dallas, Texas - What a Joke!

For a company hailed for its excellent customer service, my experiences has led me to believe quite the opposite. The lovely email responses you receive from them appear written by a computer...very generic and patronizing. Look-if I am pissed the last thing I want is someone to apologize deceivingly and futher more offer no true solution to my angst. Instead, a generic response is fabricated and directions to guidelines concerning the issue. In other words, they do what they want and your just *hit out of luck. SO goes the problem with online retailers such as Amazon that do not have true box locations. Your stuck fighting with an iinternet entity who could really care less and there is nothing you can do about it in person. The so-called plus for Amazon- free shipping for orders over $25- is also a total scam. I suggest doing a little comparison shopping before buying from Amazon. Wal-mart has a very good online service and I have experienced true customer service through them.

Amazon ignores information about unethical behavior by its vendors

A book seller on Amazon's Marketplace deliberately withholds information that some of their books ship from Europe and even lied about it in an email. I would have never ordered the book form them if I that information because it is likely to be later in arriving. When I contacted Amazon to ask them to investigate a dealer who lied in writing about shipping info, I was told that the claim couldn't be investigated since the book dealer, who knew I was filing a complaint (my second mistake), refunded w/o my asking the $3.99 shipping cost which effectively closed out the standard route for a complaint. The dealer knew that Amazon's A to Z guarantee is structured to deal only with refund issues of the most narrow kind. My emails to Amazon were clear I did not want a refund BUT to report a dishonest dealer who lied to a customer and then had gamed their system by issuing the small refund. I asked two times for an appropriate email address to inform Amazon of the seller's dishonesty. I was told there was no recourse and no way to share this information was provided. My take away? Be careful since clever, dishonest dealers have figured out how to manipulate Amazon's a to Z guarantee and Amazon apparently does not care enough to even provide a way to inform them when this happens.
