Shocking degree of unprofessionalism with Amazon seller Battery Assault.

I placed an ordered with the Amazon Market Place seller Battery Assault. First the item arrived damaged. Then they sent the wrong item as a replacement. They promised to send an additional product to remedy the situation, then told me they could not do so. They offered a partial refund so I could purchase the needed product, and never sent the refund. I then found evidence that the initial item ordered might have been tampered with. I returned it for a full refund and only received the refund after I filed a complaint with Amazon and had them contact the seller for me.

Scammed by Amazon textbook rental!

I rented a textbook on Amazon; the seller listed was Apex Media. All emails Amazon sent regarding returning the rental went to my Spam folder. However, the email notifying me that my rental expired and my account had been charged an additional $189.99 (for a total of $224.00) landed directly in my inbox. I spent hours on the phone with Amazon reps, and was repeatedly told I could not return the book for refund, but I could list the book for sale with them (yes, fees apply). When I asked if I could rent the book out through their site in the same way it was rented to me, I was told "no". I requested the seller's information so I could contact them directly, and was given a phone number and address for Apex Media. Unfortunately, I learned that Apex Media is not a textbook company, and they do not sell or rent textbooks through Amazon. The lady I spoke to at Apex Media said they have received several calls about Amazon rentals, and she said it is terrible what is happening. I'm going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau... so disappointed in Amazon. It's ironic that the title of my textbook is "Human Learning"... so disappointed in Amazon.

When my daughter rented a book from Amazon it was with an email that I no longer use for anything important. I didn't realize there was a rental book due. They charged my credit card $259, 3 times the cost of a used book. Amazon will not do anything after several...

If the book isn't returned at the end of the 15 day extension, you'll be charged the purchase price (minus any rental fees and/or late charges you've already paid).

Disputing the charge because of this likely will not do much. The credit card company may credit the amount if they feel that is warranted, however given the information above which is available on Amazon, Amazon will likely simply respond back to the credit card company which they have 30 days to do and tell them you were informed if the book was not returned you would be charged and at that point the credit card company will likely replace the charge on the card.

Amazon oversees and adheres to Apex Media guidelines in regards to rental of textbooks. Amazon has been great to deal with until now. Please take note when you purchase used textbooks from Amazon that it will not be Amazon's Best Practices that you are dealing with...

Amazon review in Fresno, California: Enough with the greed...

E-mail sent to Amazon: I am upset because i rented this book and now that it is past the due date and already purchased nothing can be done?? ...I had checked for the return rent address right after my purchase and a few weeks after that and was not given one. With time i forgot that this book was due, however; i was not sent any emails reminding me about the return due date of this book, the extension of 15 days past the due date, or an email about an automatic purchase for the book. IT'S QUITE FUNNY HOW THERE WAS AN ERROR WITH HAVING THESE REMINDER EMAILS SENT TO ME, BUT THERE WAS NO ERRORS WHATSOEVER IN PROCESSING YOUR PAYMENTS AND MAKING SURE THAT I (UNKNOWINGLY) PAYED FOR BOTH AN EXTENSION AND FOR THE REST OF THIS BOOK. I am in college and trying to save money so having these 80+ dollars taken away from me (Without my consent) for a book that i can STILL return (because it is in good condition) but actually cannot return due to Amazon's return policy's is a big slap in the face. I don't appreciate this at all. This is money that i need for school, and this is something that should not have to be repeated. I know for a fact that something can be done by Amazon. ... It's just a matter of whether or not this company is willing to set aside the avarice that it has shown in this unfair situation.

Unwanted Amazon Sales Scam

Try to uninstall SupraSavings tags once Amazon have hacked you! Good luck following their "uninstall" instructions as to how to remove the program from your list on your computer. Despite what they tell you the intrusive program is NOT in the list. Any help will be appreciated. We have been a good Prime customer, this is sure way to *** us off, and loose a reoccurring revenue stream. Hello hope someone at Amazon is listening. In addition to unable to remove the tag, other unwanted programs try to istall themselves as well. Talk about getting really pissed off. That was the last straw in my books.

Amazon review in Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui: It just didn't arrive and they don't give a ***

I purchased a copy of 'Race to Dakar' from Zoverstocks in the UK through Amazon.com in January 2014. On 16th March I advised them that I had not received the item. In June I again advised them and asked for replacement or refund. Amazon played a half hearted 'claim' attempt and then denied it, Zoverstocks said they would not replace as I had not notified them with their '90 day' policy period!!! I had. Quite frankly *** service by both and I would struggle to recommend a purchase through Zoverstocks or Amazon! So much for safe and guaranteed online trading!!!! They state they support their online shopping, reality is they don't! I asked for proof of shipping and was told they could not recover this information from their system!!! Bad call Zoverstocks.

Amazon Letdown

I ordered a product from Amazon on May 17th. Estimated delivery date was June 6th. On the 5th, I noticed it hadn't shipped, so I called customer service, and they updated it to the 7th. On the 7th, I received an email saying that the item was not yet ready and my new anticipated delivery date was up to June 30th. I contacted customer service and explained that this was unacceptable and I needed this item. They set me up with expedited shipping and promised I would have my item no later than the 24th. On the morning of the 24th I logged onto my account and noticed that the item had not yet shipped. The customer service rep I called updated my effective date to the 25th. I spoke to another one via chat, and they said they would look into the matter. I received an email that afternoon that said the item was unavailable from the supplier, they could not predict when it would become available, and they would offer a $15 credit as a "gesture of goodwill." This was a time sensitive item. I chose Amazon due to reasonable price listing, and trusted them the first time I brought my complaint to customer service because they seemed to be making an effort in good faith to resolve the issue. Now, that they have failed, I had to order the item at a higher price with expedited shipping. Their "gesture of goodwill" came nowhere near compensating for the inconvenience they caused me. I have lost time, energy, and money due to this gross incompetence.

We ordered a new crib and mattress and got bed bugs. Amazon has not responded to my email or phone calls. They did offer me 10% off my next purchase, though.
