Not sure about Amazon anymore

Purchased a TV on black Friday on Amazon. Seller contacted us the next day to say he couldn't honor the price! What!! Contacted Amazon but they just kept forwarding us back to the SELLER. We had purchased a warranty with the TV for $80 and AMAZON has kept the money so far for the warranty!! No joke. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company but I'm having concerns that Amazon is becoming a new PayPal company and just collecting the money while anyone who wants to sell on Amazon can. Shady dealing like I've not seen before. So now I"m going to tell you more words since this thing needs at least 100 of them.

So, upset you had to play by the rules? You sort of even had me until you brought up the senior citizen thing. Whether it's true or not, whenever someone brings that up, or brings up military service, or brings up being a single mother of 12, it makes it seem like you are asking for a handout.

I had a 50 dollar gift card for Amazon. I have never used them before. I was only able to use 23 dollars of a 50 dollar gift card. The rest was used for shipping. The *** shipping was more than the stuff I bought! How is that even possible?

My wife and I are very happy with our experience with Amazon and Amazon Prime. I live in a different state than my children do. This year because of my work situation I am not going to be able to go see them for Christmas. :( Almost all of their presents will be purchased using Amazon prime free shipping. We have been a member of Amazon Prime for over a year now and have never had any problems. I have almost exclusively ordered everything using the iPhone app it is very easy to use. We also use the lists feature to create lists for all our children's gift ideas and a few more for items we are considering buying in the future. If you live away from major shopping areas and or family I would spend the money and sign up for Amazon Prime. Its Awesome.

I am a Prime customer who went back to university through a UK-based school. I wanted to set my prime membership to the student prime membership, but alas, the website would not accept an .ac.uk email address (the UK equiv of an .edu address). I tried a simple chat to fix the issue. Seems like an easy fix. I can't imagine I am the first US student to attend a UK university remotely in the history of Prime Student. The first chat was a run-around to contact the amazon.co.uk guys, but they can't sign me up for a US prime account (so I would be able to use digital services, but no shipping and all payment is in GBP). Ok, fair enough, so I return to customer service chat to let them know. This time the run around was with student escalation services. They claimed I lived in the UK and the co.uk site would be "more convenient". Of course you can't reply to those emails, so I had no way to explain the circumstances. I then called directly only to spend an hour running in circles with the CSR who had absolutely no idea what she was doing. After explaining all the above, she still told me I had to go through the website (this is after 45 minutes, mind you). Finally she just hung up on me. I called back, and the CSR was more understanding, but still referred me back to escalation services. I am not confident that the problem has been solved. I have been ordering from Amazon for over a decade and I have never been tempted to stop using the service as I am right now. So frustrating.

When you order something from Amazon and it is defective or missing something, etc. all you do is contact Amazon and the problem is either corrected or you can return it at the seller's expense, etc.

In other words, the problem is fixed and all this can be done online, via email. If you used a debit card, then that is your first mistake. Always use a credit card online so you can dispute the charge if need be before you have to pay for it.

Odd that you would claim to have so much trouble with Amazon, a company that has the best method for addressing problems with orders. As for late delivery, blame Amazon for contracting with the USPS in most cases---a government agency that is known for it's ineffiency---so I will agree with you on that singular point.

On Friday Nov 25 2016 I added 3 items to my cart. LG Stylus for $69.99 and a screen protector and case. On following Monday I went to pay and phone had been placed in the saved orders and price went to $99.00. Tuesday Nov 29 I went back into amazon and found another phone exact same for $69.99 and listing said it would be in stock Dec 7 2016. I added to my cart at around 10am. Came home to make purchase and again item was removed again from my cart and placed in saved for later section again the price was raised to $99.00 dollars. The item disappeared. Remember this item was due to be in stock on Dec 7. I went nuts and called them and advised they are pulling a bait and switch. I am sending letter to their headquarters

I have to ask, why don't you simply check out and buy the stuff rather than try to squirrel it away for another day?

Why should a seller leave things in your cart rather than sell to someone else while you take your sweet time.

Something tells me this is something you do all the time, I just can't figure out why?

Do you go to a brick and mortar store, load stuff up in a cart, set it aside for a couple days and expect it to be there at the price it was when you left it?

Get over yourself please
